We like to plan a dessert for days when we are serving leftovers. It’s a clever way to help our family look forward to leftover night on the meal plan.
This month’s desserts included; Key Lime Cake for St. Patrick’s Day, King Cake for Fat Tuesday, Classic Watergate Salad which is really a dessert which is another green food for St. Pat’s and Pineapple Angel Food Cake a light and easy two ingredient dessert for Spring!
Week One Meal Plan
Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras:
Make a point to save some leftovers from the Shrimp Boil to make Gumbo tomorrow!
Baked Chicken Leg Quarters (Low Carb entree)
Serve either Green Beans or Steamed Zucchini, Squash and Mushrooms as a side to keep this meal low carb.
TGIF, right! Let’s make an super easy weeknight meal that everyone loves! Sloppy Joes and French Fries!

Saturday: FYI Time changes tonight! Don’t forget to set the clock forward!

We are making it a point to eat green food starting today for the next three days as we approach St. Patrick’s Day.
Save some Cornbread to make Cornbread Croutons which you can add to your Mandarin Orange Salad on Monday.
