Our Bacon Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies begin with a packaged mix. This is going to be easy. They mix by hand. No mixer required!
My husband took these to work and they vanished quickly with lots of compliments. We had to make more for ourselves!
We use pecans but you could use walnuts, almonds or whichever nut you prefer. You can even leave the nuts out if you like!
- 1 (17.5 oz.) pkg. Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie mix
- ½ Cup butter softened (not margarine)
- 1 large egg
- 1 Tbsp. water
- ½ Cup chopped pecans
- ½ Cup chopped cooked bacon
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- In medium bowl, stir (by hand, no mixer needed) cookie mix, butter, egg and water until soft dough forms.
- Stir in prepared bacon and pecans. Be sure you have patted the bacon using paper toweling to remove any grease.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie pan.
- Bake approximately 11 to 13 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Cool 1 minute before removing from the pan to a cooling rack.
- Serve and enjoy!

We have a daughter who absolutely loves bacon! Of course we are always looking for unique pecan recipes so to marry the two would be a natural. I never thought about bacon pecan (and of course chocolate) cookies. Can’t wait!
I have a friend I need to make these for! She is obsessed with bacon and chocolate desserts!
OMG! Thanks for putting up the list. These recipes sound lovely and interesting.
Usually desserts with bacon don’t appeal to me, but for some reason this just seems to work for me!
Ah, bacon, is there anything you don’t improve?
Wow, those sound and look delicious! I’m going to have to try these 🙂
SHUT. UP. Bacon???? That’s just brilliant! I can’t wait to try these — Christmas or any time — bacon and chocolate are a natural pair!!
Oh my goodness, this sounds so good. I have always loved the combination of sweet and salty or savory. This recipe is a must try for the holiday.
I have never had a cookie with bacon before so I am going to have to try these.
