Bacon Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
Our Bacon Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies begin with a packaged mix. The sweet and salty combination of bacon and cookie batter makes a unique cookie.
Cookies and Christmas belong together, don’t they? Of course they do and there are so many different ways to make cookies. Have you tried adding bacon?
My husband took these to work and they vanished quickly with lots of compliments. We had to make more for ourselves!

Ingredients
- 1 (17.5 oz.) pkg. Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie mix
- 1/2 Cup butter softened not margarine
- 1 large egg
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 Cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 Cup chopped cooked bacon
We use pecans but you could use walnuts, almonds or whichever nut you prefer. You can even leave the nuts out if you like!

Directions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°.
Cook the bacon and drain on paper towels then chop into small pieces. I like to use a small food chopper like this for the bacon.
Chop the pecans and set aside.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, stir the cookie mix, softened butter, egg and water until soft dough forms.
Step 3
Now, stir in the chopped bacon and chopped pecans.
Step 4
Drop the cookie dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto an ungreased baking pan. I like to cover my sheet pan with parchment paper, like this for easy cleanup.
Step 5
Bake approximately 11 to 13 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool for about one minute on the baking sheet then transfer carefully to a cooling rack.
How To Store Cookies
After the cookies have completely cooled you can store them. Place them into an airtight container with a lid and store on the counter for two or three days.

We have a daughter who absolutely loves bacon! Of course we are always looking for unique pecan recipes so to marry the two would be a natural. I never thought about bacon pecan (and of course chocolate) cookies. Can’t wait!
I have a friend I need to make these for! She is obsessed with bacon and chocolate desserts!
