My hubby loves chocolate chip cookies. He is a card-carrying chocoholic who loves Chocolate Cookies with morsels. He decided to add peanut butter morsels to this chocolate cookie recipe and the result was a big win.
Ingredients
Simple cookie recipe ingredients with the addition of peanut butter morsels are all you need to make these home-baked cookies.
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 1/2 Cups granulated sugar
- 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Cups sifted All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 12 oz bag peanut butter morsels

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup shortening
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 1/2 Cups granulated sugar
- 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Cups sifted All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 10 oz bag peanut butter morsels
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl beat the shortening on medium or high speed until softened.
- Add the eggs, sugar, melted and cooled chocolate, baking powder and vanilla.
- Beat until well combined.
- Gradually stir in the flour a little at a time until well combined.
- Stir in the peanut butter chips
- Cover the dough and chill for 1 or 2 hours.
- Shape chilled dough into 1 inch balls. Place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheet or silicone baking mat.
- Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set.
- Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.
