Ingredients
- One box of Angel Food Cake mix, I like this brand
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained

I’m sharing pictures from three different times that I’ve made this easy two ingredient Pineapple Angel Food Cake.
This is the most recent time I baked the cake and I think the results were the best. The cake was equally delicious each time I’ve baked it but the look has improved.
Just a smidgen of the top stuck to the bottom of the pan but a quick swipe with one finger done by a certified kitchen tester will clean that up right away!
The key is to allow the cake to cool in the pan before turning it out. I do spray my pan with non-stick spray also.
It should be named the incredibly disappearing cake because that is what happens!

How To Make Pineapple Angel Food Cake
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350° and prepare you Bundt pan with nonstick spray.
Step 2
Pour cake mix and entire can of crushed pineapple into a large mixing bowl. Combine cake mix and crushed pineapple using a mixer on low speed for about 2 minutes.
Mixture will expand in the bowl which is why you need a large bowl for this airy cake.
Step 3
Pour batter into your prepared pan and bake for about 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
Step 4
Cool your cake upside down on a wire rack. The top, cooling on the bottom, is nice and crusty.
Why cool Angel Food Cake upside down?
This cake rises quite a bit while baking. Then while cooling it will seem to collapse. Cooling the cake upside down helps to maintain the structure of the cake from shrinking too much.
Serve and enjoy!
Cool whip anyone?
Lots of folks like to slather some Cool whip on their Pineapple angel food cake. Go right ahead if you are one of those folks. I like mine just as it is. So delicious.
This cake is actually on the Weight Watchers diet.
Can you make Pineapple Angel Food Cake in a regular cake pan?
Yes. You can can actually make this easy dessert in most any cake pan but it is important to note this fluffy cake will rise quite a bit. It also hugs the sides of the pan well and could possible stick if you are not careful.
Nonstick spray will help.
The best way to bake this cake is in a Bundt pan or Angel Food cake pan.
Baking time changes for different size pans. A 9 x 13 pan will take about 25 minutes.

This photo is from the second time I made it and I used a fancy tube pan. Don’t waste your time on a fancy tube pan when making this cake, a basic round Bundt pan is just fine.
