Ingredients for Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Stromboli recipe
  • 1 lb Shredded cooked Chicken (Rotisserie Chicken)
  • 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar or Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pkg. refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 Cup Buffalo Sauce
  • 1 Tbs Basil 
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Melted Butter 

Directions for Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Stromboli

Step 1

Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees if your Air Fryer requires preheating. Not all Air Fryers do require preheating. Your instruction booklet should tell you this information.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, shredded cheese, cream cheese, & Buffalo sauce. Stir until well blended then set aside while you prepare the dough.

This easy recipe is even easier by using Rotisserie chicken from the grocery store deli. You can also see my recipe for Crockpot Two Ingredient Chicken for Sliders and use that recipe but swap the Ranch seasoning for chili powder.

Step 3

Prepare a work surface on the kitchen counter. I like to use these disposable counter covers for easy clean-up.

Sprinkle your work surface lightly with flour to keep the dough from sticking. Lay the refrigerated pizza dough onto your floured surface and shape it into a rectangle. Spoon the buffalo sauce and chicken mixture into the center of rectangle.

Optional

If you have a picky eater, like me, you can make two by cutting the rolled-out dough in half. Now if one of you prefers hot and spicy and the other doesn’t, no problem. Use half of the dough for each serving. Season the hot and spicy stromboli with some hot sauce before folding the dough over.

Step 4

Fold over the long side of dough. Pinch edge together all the way around. You can press down with the tines of a fork if you like for a pretty edge.

Step 5

Now using the melted butter with a basting brush, lightly coat the top of the dough.

You can substitute olive oil for this step if you prefer.

Sprinkle with garlic salt and basil to taste. Substitute italian seasoning if you like.

Step 6

Place your Stromboli into the air fryer basket and cook for about 12 to 15 minutes each until the dough is nice and golden brown. Time will depend on your specific Air Fryer.

Oven instructions

Preheat the oven to 425° and spray a sheet pan with non-stick spray or line with parchment paper.

Place the prepared stromboli onto the baking sheet and place it on the middle rack in the preheated oven. Bake for about 14 to 16 minutes or until golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Shredded cooked Chicken
  • 8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar or Mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz. softened Cream Cheese
  • 1 pkg. refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/4 Cup Buffalo Sauce, (wing sauce)
  • 1 Tbs Basil, crushed
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Melted Butter

    Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees if your Air Fryer requires preheating. Not all Air Fryers do require preheating.

    Lay the refrigerated pizza dough onto your floured surface and shape it into a rectangle.

    Remove carefully from the Air Fryer basket. Cut in half to serve.
