Ingredients for Air Fryer Biscuit Donuts
There are only four simple ingredients for this easy air fryer donut recipe.
- 1 Can of large refrigerated Biscuits
- Butter flavor Cooking Spray
- Christmas Sprinkles
- Canned Vanilla Frosting
Directions
Step 1
Pre-heat air fryer to 350 degrees. Prepare your work surface for cutting out the can of biscuits. I love using these disposable counter covers for quick and easy clean-up. You can also use parchment paper to cover your work surface.
Step 2
I prefer to use grands biscuits because they are quite large and make a nice donut shape. Cut a circle out of the center of each biscuit.
If you don’t own a donut cutter, and I sure don’t, you can use the cap from a water bottle or any small circular object in your kitchen which can be properly cleaned. A shot glass or a small circle cookie cutter will work too.
Be sure your donut holes are small holes but not too small so they don’t close up during the cooking process.
The center of the biscuits makes nice air fryer donut holes. Roll them between your hands to create a nice ball so you can Air fry these too.
Step 3
Lightly spray each donut with butter flavor cooking spray and place it into the Air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook for approximately 4 to 6 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown. The cooking time in your Air Fryer may be different from mine so check after the first 4 minutes.
Step 4
Use tongs to remove the donuts from the Air Fryer and place them onto a cooling rack to cool prior to icing.
Hot donuts will melt the icing too quickly. Let them cool before icing then, sprinkle the top of the donuts with the color sprinkles for your occasion. Mine are Air Fryer Christmas Donuts!
Serve and enjoy your delicious Air Fryer donuts!
