Meal Plan Details

1. Homemade Pimento Cheese Sandwiches
Made from scratch, Pimento Cheese is simply delicious. There are only seven ingredients. Store your pimento cheese in the refrigerator in an airtight container, like this. Instead of serving your pimento cheese sandwiches on loaf bread, use rolls or burger buns.
HOLIDAY TIP: Pimento cheese makes a great dip. Add the pimento cheese to a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for about 10 seconds, stir. Repeat if necessary until the pimento cheese is melty and hot. Use for dipping with chips or fresh vegetables.
Side dishes
Make this meal simple by serving chips on the side with your sandwiches.
2. Crockpot Black Bean Chili
My Chili recipe is simple. It is almost like a dump soup recipe. When I worked at the Waffle House, I learned the trick of putting two meats in the Chili. I adapted that recipe to make it my own, including using black beans instead of chili beans.
HOLIDAY TIP: A big pot of chili will feed a crowd, making it a great choice for party food. Use disposable bowls, like these.
Side Dishes
Serve either saltine crackers or oyster crackers with a pot of chili. We sometimes enjoy making grilled cheese sandwiches with ours.
3. Taco Salad Recipe
My Taco Salad recipe is meatless. It’s a great meal for Meatless Monday. You can cook a pound of ground beef, drain it, and add it to your salad if you like. I won’t tell.
HOLIDAY TIP: Create a Taco Salad Bar by placing all the separate ingredients in attractive bowls. I suggest cooking boneless, skinless chicken, then chopping it into bite-sized pieces for one meat option. Also, brown and drain ground beef for another meat option for your Taco Salad. Sour cream or Homemade Guacamole are the toppings rather than salad dressing.
Side Dishes
Taco salad is a full meal that doesn’t really need a side dish. Make an easy dessert tonight like this one.
4. Bacon Wrapped Herb Butter Pork Loin Recipe
Baste your pork loin in a simple homemade herb butter. Then wrap it in bacon before roasting in the oven. There is an easy trick to make the bacon crisp before serving.
HOLIDAY TIP: When serving mashed potatoes to a crowd, use your Crockpot to keep them warm. Add a liner, like this, to your Crockpot. Turn the slow cooker to the low or warm setting, and add the mashed potatoes.
Side dishes
Roasted Brussels sprouts and homemade mashed potatoes will round out this meal.
Serve this Pear Salad on the side.
5 Brown Gravy Meatloaf Recipe
One of the good things about meatloaf is that you can make sandwiches with any leftovers. This recipe is for Brown Gravy Meatloaf. A good weeknight meal for gravy lovers.
HOLIDAY TIP: This is a good option for a holiday potluck dinner. Slice the meatloaf into small portions and plate it pretty by tucking in fresh curly leaf parsley.
Side dishes
Rice is a must-have when there is gravy involved. Also, a pan of these McDonald’s copycat biscuits goes with this entree. Round out the meal with your favorite green vegetable. I open a can of Italian green beans, heat and eat.
6 Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe
Chicken Cordon Bleu is a classic dish that features tender chicken breasts stuffed with ham, cheese, and a creamy butter sauce, all coated in a crispy golden crust.
HOLIDAY TIP: This is a good recipe to use for an intimate dinner party with friends during the holiday season.
Side dishes
A great meal for these Pecan Glazed Green Beans, Homemade mashed potatoes, and dinner rolls.

7 Broccoli Bow Tie Pasta Recipe
Broccoli Bow Tie Pasta is a good holiday season dinner because of the colors in the dish. It is also a little bit on the lighter side, which we might need during party season.
HOLIDAY TIP: Make this colorful dish an option on a holiday party buffet. The colors are perfect.
Side dishes
No side dish needed for this meal.
