I’m calling our Weekly Menu #5 It’s Fishy because we have managed to incorporate two fish recipes with shrimp on Sunday and Salmon on Thursday. Those are two of our favorite seafood entrees. What are yours?
It’s hard for me to believe that we’ve already passed our first month of making menus! It’s going well and has helped quite a bit to manage the grocery budget better.
Shrimp & Grits Pie A perfect meal for Sunday afternoon in the spring. A true southern delicacy. Grits infused with marinara and flavored with bacon, basil, jumbo shrimp and 2 cheeses.
Campfire Grilled Chicken & Veggie Foil Packet Dinner There is lots of room for your personal preferences with foil packet dinners. You can cook them on the grill or in the oven too!
There is currently no chef salad ‘recipe’ on the blog but it is coming soon! I’m using fresh raw vegetables from Monday’s menu again on Tuesday. A few of our favorite ingredients for a hearty Chef Salad include my Cornbread Croutons, Sweet & Salty Candied Pecans and my Mandarin Orange Dressing.
Skillet Cabbage, Rice & Sausage One Dish Dinner Only 6 ingredients and less than one hour to the dinner table! Packed with flavor and one of my hubby’s most requested dishes.
Southern Fried Salmon Patties Either you do or don’t love fried salmon patties. There is no in between. We have always served ours with rice. What is your favorite side dish with salmon patties?
Brunch Bacon Swiss Quiche is the perfect meal for a lazy Saturday at home. We first served this dish for a Christmas Eve brunch. You will want to save the recipe in your Christmas recipe collection.
Dessert this week
These bar cookies are another recipe I originally prepared at Christmas but good any time of the year. They store well which allows for them to be enjoyed for several days. They are also a good game night dessert.
This should prove to be a fun week with our Fishy Menu! How is your menu planning process coming along?
