Weekly Menu #5 It’s Fishy

I’m calling our Weekly Menu #5 It’s Fishy because we have managed to incorporate two fish recipes with shrimp on Sunday and Salmon on Thursday. Those are two of our favorite seafood entrees. What are yours?

It’s hard for me to believe that we’ve already passed our first month of making menus! It’s going well and has helped quite a bit to manage the grocery budget better.

Sunday

Chef Salad

There is currently no chef salad ‘recipe’ on the blog but it is coming soon! I’m using fresh raw vegetables from Monday’s menu again on Tuesday. A few of our favorite ingredients for a hearty Chef Salad include my Cornbread Croutons, Sweet & Salty Candied Pecans and my Mandarin Orange Dressing.

 

Wednesday

  1. You know I have a tough time choosing which one of these sounds the best, but as much as I like cabbage and shrimp, I think if I had to choose one to have tonight, I would go with Thursday, the southern fried salmon patties! Yummm!

  2. You dishes looked wonderful and I wish I could eat sea food, but allergies won’t let me. I love how you have showed the various sea food you can eat each day of the week.

  3. Oh my goodness! I bet that shrimp and grits pie is DELICIOUS. I had shrimp and grits for the first time in New Orleans and loved it! That sounds like it is right up my flavor alley.

  5. YUM! Can I come over for dinner? Ya’ll are having some truly tasty sounding dishes. I usually menu plan for a month at a time. It kinda got thrown off track at the end of last month when we had to go out of town for a week due to a death of a family member. We are still trying to get the menu straightened out.
