Glass Jar Kitchen Table Christmas Centerpiece

Sharing is caring!

Simple and cheap was my goal when I created this little Glass Jar Kitchen Table Christmas Centerpiece for my family to enjoy. I collected a few glass and crystal jars from around the house. No Mason jars this time.

You only need a few supplies from around your home to create a simple, pretty and frankly cheap Glass Christmas Table Centerpiece.

I have a small crystal collection which includes several jars. They are generally used for holding cotton balls and Q-tips on the bathroom counter. I swapped that job with Mason jars so I could use the crystal in my Kitchen Table Christmas Centerpiece.

The dish is not crystal. It’s cut glass which is really pretty. It belonged to my Mom and she always used it during the Christmas season so I wanted to use it for my centerpiece tray.

The simple footed glass jar on the left is super duper old. It was a gift from a friend whose parents bought it during the depression era. The lid is gold rimmed. All three jars have lids which I removed to use for the centerpiece.

A Christmas table needs candle light. So I gathered a few of my batter operated candles for that added touch. Just a very small amount of fake snow was added to each jar before inserting the candles. Be careful with fake snow! It will take over if you let it.

A quick trip outside yielded a few Pine boughs. Here in the south we have plenty of Pine Trees to go around. In fact I gathered a bunch of small pine cones from my yard, painted them in pastel colors and created this Painted Pine Cones centerpiece for the same table last spring.

Anytime you bring the outdoors inside, be sure to check for creepy crawly creatures!

  1. Shirley, your glass centerpiece is so pretty and sparkles with the candlelight. I have the exact same dish that I always use during the holidays and so you’ve inspired me to use it for more than just food! I have the perfect candleholders to pair with it too.

  2. What a pretty centerpiece, Shirley. I love its simple beauty. Using real pine needles is a great touch. Fake snow and glitter seem to find their way all over the place as soon as the containers are open!

  3. Beautiful centerpiece! My mom loves cut glass and has so much of it! The candlelight makes it look magical. The fake snow can get out of control real fast, I’ve done that. Love it!

We enjoying hearing from you!
