Poinsettias are the quintessential Christmas flower. My Simple Poinsettia Christmas Table this year uses those bright colors along with a simple DIY Poinsettia keepsake for each place setting.

The bright reds paired with those gorgeous greens set a festive mood in any Christmas setting. Using them for a Christmas table makes dining even more lively.

The Poinsettia in the center of each plate are actually an easy DIY felt ornament seen here I made earlier in the season. I sent a set of them to my Ornament Exchange partner this year. They are so easy to make and I am really in the Poinsettia spirit this year so I made more for myself.

The dishes are of course perfectly safe in the dishwasher or I would never have brought them home. If it isn’t dishwasher safe, it doesn’t belong in my kitchen. The green leaf dishes are a Hobby Lobby find from several years ago.

There is nothing on this table which would keep us from having our weekday meals here throughout the season. All of the linens are machine washable or they wouldn’t be allowed in my home.

I picked up the Holly Berry cloth Christmas napkins at an estate sale which is a great place to find beautiful table linens.

My gorgeous green plaid table runner is actually a scarf. Doesn’t it go beautifully with this Christmas Table setting though!

Using a live poinsettia as the centerpiece would have been far to easy and obvious plus we have two cats who would no doubt have to investigate. A Christmas table should incorporate candles to help create that warm and cozy feeling. So this year I decided to use some of my crystal and cut glass along with pine boughs for the centerpiece.

We will be enjoying weekend breakfasts and weeknight meals at this table so it does still need to be functional and not over decorated.
