Menu Plan #32 Thanksgiving Week
It’s Thanksgiving week which means organized chaos for many hosts. It also means this week’s menu will be really easy dishes which require little attention or effort because our cooking attention is directed to Thursday.
We have been hosting Thanksgiving in our home since 2009 after my father passed away. Everyone brings their best or most requested dishes, some of which we only enjoy on special occasions like Tresa’s Indian Corn Casserole. Sooner or later, I promise to get that recipe up on the blog. It’s one dish with no leftovers.
Crabmeat Stew is a family favorite at our house. It’s a one pot dinner which is one of the big reasons I like it so much!
Homemade Chicken Pot Pie on Monday will give me an opportunity to save some fresh chicken broth which I will need on Thursday for our Cornbread Dressing. This dish will provide leftovers for Tuesday also.
Leftover Chicken Pot Pie
There will be cooking going on but it won’t be Wednesday dinner.
It’s Pizza night at our house!
My question to you, What’s on YOUR Thanksgiving menu? Do you have a traditional day before Thanksgiving meal, like pizza?Â
Our Thanksgiving Menu includes;
Turkey, Ham, Chicken & Dumplings,
Cornbread dressing, Â Corn casserole, Crockpot Mac-n-Cheese,
Homemade Mashed Potatoes, Green beans, Crockpot Sweet Potato Casserole
Deviled eggs, Cranberry Sauce and  Homemade Yeast Rolls.
Desserts; Mom’s Chocolate Fudge Cake, Classic Pumpkin Pie, Classic Watergate Salad
Leftovers will be calling our names and we may very well eat them today but chances are excellent we will be indulging in dining out while shopping. Don’t worry, those leftover will be eaten!
