DIY Pink Floral Centerpiece In A Clear Vase
Making a Floral Centerpiece In A Clear Vase requires some sort of visible filler which will match your decor and be appealing to the arrangement.
When my daughter turned 30 a while back, my son-in-law hosted a beautiful soiree at their home in her honor. He did a simply fabulous job with planning and pulled the party off without a hitch.
Pink, Gold and Black were the colors Tiffany selected for her theme and I think it turned out really pretty with that touch of pink.
We love to DIY. It’s a great way to save money but more importantly, you add a personal touch. See Tiffany’s Peacock Theme Wedding Ideas. Some of those are DIY. She made all the hair pieces.
My contribution was a centerpiece for the table. I love making floral arrangements even though Although I am by no means an expert, did take a flower arranging class some years back which provided basic information. I use those tips to do my best.
Supplies
- Pink Cherry Blossom Stems, like these
- White floral bud stems
- Pink Deco Mesh, like this
- Floral foam, like this
- Green moss, like this
Knowing my daughter’s love for Cherry Blossoms I decided to make her a pink floral centerpiece featuring faux Cherry Blossom stems. I headed out to one of my favorite craft supply stores. Lucky for me I found some sparkly gold yarn on clearance which I thought would be great for lining inside of the vase to hide the floral foam.

I did not glue the floral foam into the vase. My daughter is as frugal as I am so I knew she would be deconstructing the centerpiece to repurpose the pieces eventually. After inserting the foam, I begin to wrap the gold yard around it and tuck it down into the vase.

Then I began adding the stems. It is possible to bend the stems around to make the arrangement appear more full after getting them all added.
Because I did not glue the foam into place, it meant that I needed to use enough decor around it to hold the foam up straight. I had hoped two packages of the pretty gold yard would suffice for this.

Once all the stems are in place, now it is time to fill in the top with faux grass. I wound up having to tuck faux grass down along the side to steady the center.
The centerpiece is surrounded by a pretty pink Boa. Tabletop Lanterns with white candles are positioned on both sides of the centerpiece.
The Pink Floral Centerpiece In A Clear Vase turned out beautiful and created a striking centerpiece for my daughter’s 30th birthday celebration. It is the largest centerpiece I have attempted and I was pleased with the outcome.
