How To Make A Pumpkin Snowman
I recommend planning ahead so that you can have three properly sized pumpkins to create a snowman after fall. My Pumpkin Snowman was not pre-planned so his sizing could be a little better but I’m happy with the little fella as he is.
Supplies
- Three properly sized uncut pumpkins
- White paint
- Hat
- Scarf
We have a can of white exterior paint left over from our Porch Makeover project last spring. I grabbed a paint brush, set up a work space in the garage because it was raining out and got busy painting pumpkins. Such an easy task and kind of fun too. I cut the pumpkin stems off and saved them. FYI, those pumpkin stems were hard to cut!
You can see two of the three pumpkins which make our snowman from our fall decor. As long as you do not carve the pumpkin it will keep pretty well. Once you cut it, the rotting process begins.
My hubby made us a ‘BELIEVE’ sign for our Christmas porch decor just as he did the Harvest sign from fall. If you may recall he repurposed lumber left from replacing the steps on the house we sold.
Our little repurposed pumpkin snowman greets our guests snuggled up next to his Believe sign. He believes in Santa Claus!
My daughter gifted me the potted pine a few years ago when she came home for Christmas. It is one of those from the grocery store and began very small. I repotted it into a larger pot and keep it watered with my Eggshell Water.
The Santa Snowman Wreath is a very simple, easy and affordable DIY project which can be found here.
Our Christmas porch decor is simply a warm welcome by a couple of Snowmen which are simple easy DIY projects anyone can do.

As long as the squirrels don’t get to my pumpkins, I’m doing this next year!!!
What a cute idea!
This is a great way to reuse the pumpkins. Plus it is so cute.
It is great you could use your pumpkins for Christmas too
Hi Shirley, I love your pumpkin snowman you made. What a great way to use up pumpkins. Thanks for sharing at C&C with J&J! Enjoy the week.
Julie
What a great idea to reuse pumpkins from the Fall. Thanks for the tip!
Cute cute! This would not work for ME — those nasty little squirrels destroy my pumpkins haha! In fact, I gave up using real pumpkins on the porch. Yours is adorable with his happy little scarf and looks great with your snowman door piece!
What a great way to repurpose pumpkins! Who would have thought to make something as unique and adorable as this snowman! You rock, Shirley!
This is so cute! 🙂

How cute is he? We have a pumpkin smashing tradition so I would never have any to do this with UNLESS I buy extra pumpkins …which is never bad 🙂
Very cute idea 🙂
This is the cutest snowman I have ever seen. I love him, the pumpkin form makes him look pudgy and so freaking cute. Thanks for this….he is fantastic lol
I love this idea of reusing pumpkins! He turned out adorable and he goes great with your snowman “wreath”.
The snowman pumpkin is adorable, I wish my pumpkins were still good. Such a cute idea. I’m thinking I have to get some fake pumpkins next year to make this. The believe sign is my favorite Christmas saying
