Peacock Theme Wedding Decor
These peacock theme wedding details are gorgeous. This winter wedding was held in an antebellum home in the deep south with purple, creme and olive green as the color scheme inspired by the peacock feather.
The bridal party wore small peacock feathers. All of the boutonniere’s were beautifully crated by a florist incorporating the peacock feather as the focal point. The ladies wore a hand crafted peacock hair piece with a small broach attached.
The color scheme for this winter wedding was inspired by the peacock feather. While teal is commonly used with peacock feather decor, there are more subtle options and the bride selected deep purple and olive green. Splashes of cream were used throughout as well.
The centerpieces were completely DIY projects. We found the black lanterns in two sizes. Inside each lantern we added a small amount of faux grass tucked around the candle along with a single peacock feather. We used flameless candles in two sizes. Don’t forget the batteries! The small lanterns has purple rattan bows on top and the larger lanterns had olive green rattan bows.
The “I Spy” Game cards were printed on olive green card stock. Each one was nestled into a wine cork which had a small slit for the purpose. Then we used purple rattan to tie a bow for a finishing touch to match the bow on top of each lantern.
The place cards were hand crafted and hand written for a personal touch. They are made of heavy card stock and each one has a single peacock feather eye glued on. They were placed in the giant foyer of the antebellum home on an antique claw foot table for the guest to pick up as they arrived.
The buffet tables were decorated with tall glass vases filled with white hydrangea. Long stemmed peacock feathers created more height. Sheer green fabric was scrunched among the servers on top of cream tablecloths.
The flower girl was adorable with her cute little pearl handle purse. A single peacock feather eye was added to the front of the purse and the purse was used for the flower petals she dropped for the Brides entrance into the ceremony.
The cake is three square layers offset, embellished with silk flowers using the Brides wedding colors. Each layer was a different flavor. A single hydrangea sits atop the cake with a tall peacock feather serving as the topper. A gorgeous stained glass window in an alcove provides the perfect backdrop for wedding cakes at The Hay House.
The Bride purchased a peacock stamp online which was used to create the holders for the sparklers and matches.
The Bride created these art kits for the children at the wedding. She brought in the purple with the ribbon, the olive with the ink color and used crème colored art paper.
The Peacock theme wedding programs were created by my husband using Microsoft Word. They were printed on heavy card stock. The peacock emblem was a free download.
These are some of the ways you can incorporate the colors of peacock theme wedding décor. The goal was to have the color without it being overwhelming.

The brooch looks just awesome. I can’t wait to do this in my marriage ceremony as well. It is such a great plan.
I love, love, love the peacock themed wedding and I’m crazy over your daughter’s bouquet. My youngest daughter (the only daughter not married) wants a winter wedding. Of course, she’s not engaged yet (they will be soon), but I’ve been pinning like crazy to her secret wedding board. 🙂
I’m excited because I’ve done tons of spring and summer weddings, but never a winter wedding. Thanks for providing me with more inspiration. I’m definitely pinning your beautiful pictures.
Have I mentioned that I really am loving the changes on your blog? Great job, girl!
That is just beautiful! Loved the garter!! It’a all so classy looking. This month, my direct sales company is offering a Peacock hair clip. It would be perfect for a peacock wedding.
Thank you Amanda. My daughter made everything herself except those candles. She actually owns her own small business making hair bows and other accessories for girls. Some of hers are really ornate. Her business is Lollilou Boutique on fb and Etsy. It is named for her niece ( Lolli) and her Grannie whose middle name was Lou.
Gosh this makes me want to get married again! I love peacock stuff! The colors are so pretty and fun! I love your site too–paisley is also another one of my favs! Glad to have met you! 🙂
Thank you for those kind words Emily! You can adapt the Peacock theme to any party if you like, be inventive! Nice to meet you too 🙂
Now that’s creative and beautiful. What a neat idea.
Thank you Elena and thanks for stopping by!
This is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love it!!! Even though I’m terrified of birds, HA!
Thanks Kristen for the kind words. We used mostly feathers. I think the only item with an image of an actual peacock was probably those cute candles my daughter found at Michaels.
Beautiful ideas! I love the family heirlooms brooch bouquet. Have to pin this!
Thanks for Pinning, Anna! The brooch was just beautiful!
Peacock feathers are so pretty, what a great idea for inspiration. I love that she carried an heirloom brooch boquet–that’s unique! 🙂
