Chocolate Pecan Pie

I added pecans for a scrumptious Pecan Chocolate Pie which will be gracing our dessert table this Thanksgiving! It’s a good homemade dessert for any special occasion or just because you are craving chocolate.

We are surrounded by Pecan orchards near our home. Pecans are one of the main crops of the state of Georgia so we have the joy of fresh homegrown pecans available at our local farmer’s markets and even the orchard farm stores. We always add pecans to our fall desserts.

Last year, during the holiday season, my hubby created this delicious Sweet & Salty Chocolate Caramel Nut Clusters recipe for the holidays. Chocolate and nuts were meant to be together!

Desserts which freeze well are great to have on your Thanksgiving dessert table so you can bake a few days ahead to save time. One of the great things about this pie recipe is that you can freeze it.

  1. Hi,
I have my pie in the oven, but wondered if an ingredient was listed in your recipe. You list 3 eggs, 3/4 cup of sugar then 1 cup of what? Looking at the directions you have written to stir in the Fudge Topping butter, was butter part of the recipe?
I am confused and hope my pie turns out okay. There wasn’t enough batter to make two pies.

    1. Hi Laura, Thank you for bringing that to my attention. It was important. I have made the correction. It was the 1/4 cup of melted butter. I hope your pie is as delicious as ours.

  3. This sounds yummy! I have made my pecan pie with a cup (or two!) of chocolate morsels before but I hadn’t thought of trying it with hot fudge; I bet that’s amazing. Pinned.

We enjoying hearing from you!
