Ice Cream Maker and Ingredients for Reese's Ice Cream

Ingredients

Simple ingredients for making homemade vanilla peanut butter cup ice cream.

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter cups cut into quarters

How to make peanut butter cup ice cream at home

Step 1

In a large bowl, beat the peanut butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla until blended and creamy. This should take about 5 minutes.

Step 2

Now add the cream and continue to beat until well blended.

Step 3

Pour the mixture into your electric ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s directions.

Step 4

When the ice cream is almost completely set, stop the machine and add the chopped miniature peanut butter cups the cover and restart. Continue to churn until set.

You will have soft-serve ice cream when complete from your ice cream maker.

Firm ice cream

If you want more firm ice cream, pour the soft serve into a freezer-safe container, cover with plastic wrap and freeze for 4 to 6 hours or overnight

Freeze ice cream in a loaf pan

You don’t need a special ice cream container for this Reese’s peanut butter ice cream. Use your metal loaf pan. Line it with plastic wrap, pour in the fresh-made ice cream, cover with plastic, and set into the freezer.

Makes about 1-quart liquid and about 1 ½ quart frozen.
