How To Make A Cheap Wire Basket Outdoor TableÂ
Supplies:
This simple Dollar Tree DIY comes together quickly and is so fun to have in an outdoor space next to a chair.
- 2 Wire Baskets (Dollar Tree)
- 1 Pizza Pan (Dollar Tree)
- Spray Paint (Rust-Oleum Seaside)
- E6000 GlueÂ
You really cannot beat a functional piece of outdoor furniture that essentially cost only $3! I already had the paint and glue in my craft supplies.
First, spray paint your pizza pan and allow it to dry while you are gluing the baskets together. I used Rust-oleum Seaside.
2. Turn one basket upside down to prepare to glue the two baskets together.
3. Quickly squeeze a bead of glue all the way around the edge of the bottom basket. E6000 glue dries clear so it’s okay to be generous.
4. Place the second wire basket on top of the glue and hold down with pressure for a few seconds.

5. Add heavy objects on top and allow to dry.
6. Glue the painted pizza pan onto the top and you have a new Wire Basket Outdoor Table which only cost $3!Â
We are loving our new Wire Basket Outdoor table on our back porch. The back yard is getting our full attention this spring and summer as we add some touches to create a pleasant outdoor living space.

GENIUS THANK YOU
That table is such a wonderful idea! I’ve needed tables like this all summer long – was shopping to buy something small like this – and came across this! It’s October but if I can find enough materials, I’d like to make three of them. Thanks again!
We have looked At three stores and no wire wastebaskets. I wanted to make two tables. I didn’t see where I could order them on your site. We are in Leesburg FL
Hi Judy, you can order them online and pick up in store at Dollar Tree. Here is their site link (affiliate) https://shrsl.com/2en52
I love your creativity and the pretty turquoise top! It’s perfect for the patio. Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday.
That was quite creative, and useful. I spent more money on a paint kit to upgrade my rusty outdoor table. Good job!
This is a pretty awesome idea Shirley! I need a little table for our deck and this would be perfect!
Wow Shirley, this is a fabulous idea! I could make several of these for my patio! Imagine the possibilities in decorating them! Thanks for the inspiration!
This is such a creative and genius idea! I love that shade of blue.
It’s the perfect height. You could also drape it with a table cloth for some drama. Wonderful idea.
Such a great idea! We don’t have a place to put an outdoor table right now, but I may make this in the future.
I’ve seen your post in several linkups today. Had to stop in and see what it was all about.
You are a master of dollar store projects! This is brilliant, clever and unique. Also your painted pizza pan has my head spinning with ideas.
This is so clever, Shirley! What a great way to create a simple side table for the patio. It’s always amazing to see how dollar store items can be used in fun ways with some creativity!
