Ingredient
Simple ingredients you can find at your grocery store. The good thing about this recipe is there are only three ingredients and you probably already have the syrup in your pantry.
- 4 Thick Cut Pork Chops, bone-in or boneless
- 2 Apples (Gala or Your preference of sweet apple)
- ¼ Cup Maple Syrup, use your favorite brand
My recipe calls for four pork chops but you can adjust the recipe for the number of people you are serving. If you need to layer the pork chops in the slow cooker, be sure to place a few apples in between the layers.
Leave the skin on your apples for added fiber in this recipe.
Directions
Step 1
Turn your Crockpot onto the Low setting (about 4 hours) and insert a disposable Crockpot liner for easy clean-up.
Step 2
Place pork chops into the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Then top the pork chops with the cut-up apples.
Step 3
Drizzle the maple syrup over the top of the pork chops and apples. Place lid on the Crockpot and let the cooking begin.
Pork chops need to reach an internal temperature of 160°. They should be done and the applies nice and tender on the low setting of your Slow Cooker in about 3 to 4 hours.
Cooking time will depend on your particular slow cooker. Plus a thick cut chop will take longer to cook.
Scoop up a bit of the juice from the bottom of the Crockpot to serve with these scrumptious slow cooker pork chops and apples.
My family enjoys rice as a side dish with this meal. See more side dish recipes you may enjoy serving.

Oh this looks delicious. I haven’t had a crock pot or slow cooker as they call them these days for a number of years. The combination of pork, apple and maple glaze certainly get the taste buds going. Thanks for sharing with us at #AnythingGoes linkup
Is that 4 hours on high or 4 hours on low? My crockpots don’t have time settings, I set the time after selecting the heat setting. Thanks!
Ah, so sorry. I should have realized everyone has different Cockpot settings! It is a High heat. You can simmer it longer on a Low heat if you desire. Thanks for stopping by and especially for asking!
Thanks for the reply! Putting it on the meal calendar for later this month!
