Make Your Own Mason Jar Ring Pumpkin Using Washi Tape
Looking for super easy DIY Pumpkin ideas? Do yourself a favor and make this Mason Jar Ring Pumpkin in your own favorite colors for Fall.

If you are a fan of Farmhouse style home decorating, you will love this Mason jar ring pumpkin for your tabletop. It is a simple Fall decorating craft you can make for your home.
Rather than create a table top vignette with my new Mason Jar Ring Pumpkins I decided to style my galvanized 3 tier metal stand with them for a different look. I love the way it all turned out and especially that it is a little different from what I usually do for Fall decor.

Supply List
- Washi Tape in patterns and colors of your choice
- Craft tissue paper like this one I used
- Burlap fabric, like this
- Scrap Fall color velvet fabric for bottom tier
- Pine Cones like these for the bottom
- Faux pumpkins, like this set that includes the leaves
- Faux Fall leaves
- Cinnamon sticks for faux stems, like these
- Florist wire, like this (Check Dollar Tree or Michaels)
- Mason Jar Lid rings, regular not wide mouth, (18 for small pumpkin and 30 for the large pumpkin)
Supply Variation
- Instead of Washi tape, you can spray paint the rings in whatever color you choose. (allow ample drying time before making the pumpkin)
- Instead of florist wire, you can use chenille sticks aka pipe cleaners
Directions

Step 1
Wrap the outside of each Mason jar ring with your choice of decorative Washi tape. Alternate patters of the tape for decoration.
Step 2
Line up all of the lid rings in the same direction.
Step 3
Run the florist wire through the lid rings to band them together and tie the ends. They will flop over, don’t worry because you can straighten them after their are tied together.
Instructions for Tiered stand
Do not tie the florist wire together until you have your pumpkin in place on the tired stand. See the video for details.
Step 4
Place your Mason jar rings pumpkin wherever you want to display it. Fan the rings out to look like a pumpkin. Place the cinnamon sticks in the center to resemble the pumpkin stem.

It has been my intention to make these Mason Jar Ring Pumpkins for years. Every Fall I see them pop up on my Pinterest feed and ask myself why I have not done that yet. I finally made them and I wonder why I waited. These are super easy to crank out quickly using pretty Fall design Washi Tape!

Where to buy Washi Tape
You can buy Washi Tape is a plethora of colors and patterns like these. Most craft stores have a nice supply and you can always find them on clearance at the end of every season. If you are not careful, you will accumulate too much! I’m not saying I have done that though. ~wink
Mason Jar Lid Rings
I bought a whole bunch of canning lid rings from an estate sale a while back and they have been cluttering up in a storage cabinet in my craft room for several years. One of the nice things about this craft is that you do not need to make the lid rings look nice before using them.
Three Tier Stand
This one is exactly the same as my Galvanized 3 Tier Metal Stand. It is great for any season especially if you enjoy creating a farmhouse decor look. Here is how I styled this three tier tray for a Fall Coffee Bar in my breakfast nook.
The bottom of the tray is styled with mock elements of nature such as faux pumpkins, pine cones and faux fall leaves. We love how it turned out and it looks really pretty on the kitchen table.

This is really cute! I just sorted out a bunch of mason jar lids that were rusty and I knew I wouldn’t be using them for food. Pinned!
Using Washi tape for the rings is such a great idea! Your tray looks lovely for fall, Shirley.
This would be a good way to use up a washi tape collection 🙂 Pinned.
Love the look! And the nice thing about washi tape is that it’s easily removable so you could change out the colors whenever you liked!
What a neat idea for mason jar lids! The washi tapes takes the look to a whole new decorative level – especially for the fall season!
Genius idea to use that tiered tray! I love the mason jar pumpkins
I’ve often seen these and thought they looked cute and easy too but I have never gotten around to making them either. I love the idea of decorating your tiered tray with them. Pinned.
What a neat idea! I love mason jar projects, and I have seen pumpkins made with the lids. But I love the washi tape idea, and also the idea of putting it in your tiered tray!
This is so adorable! I always have a hard time decorating a tier tray. I love the way you used washi table on the lids! My mom cans so I know she will have a lot of old lids laying around. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂
such a cute idea. Love your tiered tray. The lids make a cute decorations for it.
I also have this pin pinned, but I don’t have enough lids yet. Can you ever have enough washi tape? Your washi tape is so pretty and perfect for fall.
