Supplies for Cone Christmas Tree
- 1 Cone Tree, mine is cardboard from Hobby Lobby
- Lots or glittery Pom poms in red, white and green, I used these
- Red, Silver & Green Chenille Sticks, from Dollar Tree
- Hot Glue gun
- Hot Glue
There were 900 glittery pom poms in red, green and white in the bag I ordered from Amazon, linked above. They come in four sizes. I used the majority of those. Yes, that is a whole lot of hot glue too!
Create the Topper for Your Cone Tree
All Christmas trees have a topper and Cone trees are no different. To make the topper of this Pom Pom Cone Tree I used glittery chenille sticks I purchased from Dollar Tree.
First I twisted each around a pencil to get the fun little crinkle and pulled them into a position I liked so they were all similar in length.
I wrapped each one around the top of my cardboard cone and positioned them in place. After they were all in place, I secured them with a few dabs of hot glue. Easy, peasy.
Time To Glue On The Pom poms
This might take a while depending how large of a cone you are using. It isn’t hard but it is tedious.
I wanted my pom poms to be slightly at an angle going down so that is the pattern I created.
Begin with the smallest pom poms at the top and gradually transition to larger and larger as you make your way down.
And there you have it. Super easy to make Whimsical Pom Pom Cone Christmas Tree. It takes a little time because gluing on pom poms one at a time is tedious but easy. The end result is a stunning whimsical table top Cone tree for your Christmas decor. Mine will actually be paired with a few more Cone Christmas trees in various sizes. They will be part of a vignette I create inside of our deep mantle this year. That deep mantle is always a problem to decorate at Christmas. I have a plan this year, hope it works.
