Banana Cream Frozen Yogurt Recipe
Don’t toss those ripe bananas. Make this Banana Cream Frozen Yogurt treat with only a few simple ingredients. No ice cream machine required for this recipe.
Yogurt is almost always in my refrigerator. It is a great source of protein and dairy nutrients. I was thrilled to make this Banana Cream Frozen Yogurt as a treat for my family. I love the mixture of yogurt with fruit, don’t you?
I have made a whole lot of ice cream and frozen treats for my family over the years. This recipe is one of my favorites because of the bananas. The riper a banana gets, the sweeter it gets. So, there is no sugar added to this recipe. I use honey as a sweetener. I am on a mission to add more nutrients to our diet, naturally. This recipe helps me to add potassium and calcium into our diet in a natural food source, plus it is a dessert!

Ingredients
- 2 large bananas, sliced and frozen
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, full-fat
- 6 oz. cream cheese, room temperature, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup of honey

Tips
Don’t toss those over-ripe bananas. Freeze them. Peel them first, then freeze them in resealable plastic food storage bags or plastic freezer containers.
Freeze your bananas the day before you want to make this dessert.
Greek yogurt tends to be more creamy than regular yogurt. If you don’t use Greek, you may need a little more yogurt to make it more creamy. I recommend Greek yogurt in this recipe. I use the vanilla-flavored.
I use this blender, which I love, but you can also use a food processor if you like.

Directions
- Prepare the bananas by peeling and cutting them into small pieces. Place them in a freezer-safe resealable bag. Place the bag in the freezer for several hours or until frozen solid.
- Into your blender or food processor, add the frozen banana slices, yogurt, and cream cheese. Pour the honey on top. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Use your spatula to scrape down the sides. If your mixture is too thick, add 1 to 3 tablespoons of water and continue to blend.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Add the lid or cover tightly with foil. Place into the freezer and allow to freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely frozen. I like to freeze it overnight.
- Remove from the freezer and allow the container to sit on the counter for a few minutes to make scooping out easier.
Toppings
Treat your frozen banana yogurt just like an ice cream treat and add your favorite toppings.
