- Using leftovers for Meatball Sub Sandwiches
A precious friend shared this recipe with me many years ago. She was an older and much wiser lady with whom I enjoyed visiting. Over time we shared quite a few interesting conversations about anything and everything in life. She shared this recipe with me one Christmas when she was preparing this dish for a Christmas party.
Scroll all the way down for the easy printable recipe which calls for one bag of Meatballs. I double the recipe using 2 Bags of meatballs, 2 Chili Sauce and one larger jar of jelly when feeding a crowd. Jam works too.
The flavor of these easy 3 Ingredient Meatballs is a bit of a sweet and savory bite.
Use Leftovers To Make Meatball Sub Sandwiches
Don’t toss any leftover meatballs you may have. I always cook more than I need because I’d rather have too many than not enough. Plus my hubby loves to enjoy Meatball Sub Sandwiches with the leftovers the next day.
Use your favorite Hoogie bread. Reheat the meatballs in the microwave. Top with a little shredded cheese and serve with pickles and chips.

Hi Bonnie! Thanks for stopping by. I’d love for you to share with us at Merry Monday!
This is a great recipe. We have them at pretty much every party. Someone always asks, “Who’s bringing the meatballs?” Definitely a favorite!
Sounds great but we don’t have grape jelly here – wonder what else i could use ? – Thanks for linking up to Pin Worthy Wednesday, I have pinned your post to the Pin Worthy Wednesday Pinterest Board.
No grape jelly? I love learning little tidbits from other lands. I’m at a bit of a loss but I suspect there would be a sufficient substitute to achieve a similar flavor profile. It’s certainly an easy and tasty dish. Thanks for stopping by.
Yum! If I had a dollar for every time I’ve taken these babies to a church potluck! Seems that everyone likes these once they’ve tasted them. Sometimes, I’ll put these in the crockpot with barbecue sauce and have meatball subs with pepper jack cheese. I think this is one staple that should be in the freezer at all times. Yum again!
Ain’t that just the truth, Alli. Those 3 ingredients should ALWAYS be on hand!
