Menu Plan #45 Ground Beef Recipes

Menu Plan #45 is all about using some ground beef recipes. We have a busy week ahead so easy recipes are what I need.
It is hard for me to believe that we are creating our 45th menu plan! Visit our Meal Planning Page.

Ground beef is still one of the more affordable meats at the grocery store and it’s versatility lends itself to show up in most meat eating kitchens. No doubt we all have our favorite ground beef recipes. These are a few of ours which include one night using the Crockpot, one night of leftovers and two nights of pulling from previously prepared and frozen meatballs plus one night we just go with store bought ingredients!

Please don’t allow the idea of making Swedish Meatballs intimidate you! I make the meatballs ahead and keep them in the freezer. That’s just a matter of mixing up the ingredients and shaping them into balls. They freeze quite well.
The secret is in the sauce and you can do it!
Easy Swedish Meatballs

Our BBQ Meatball Hoagie Sandwich recipe is made with the same meatballs we pulled from the freezer for Monday’s menu! We simply simmer them in our favorite BBQ sauce in the Crockpot for about 2 hours and supper is ready!

Spaghetti with Garlic Bread
Good old fashioned Spaghetti cooked with browned ground beef! Nothing and I do mean nothing about this meal is made from scratch! We deserve a break sometimes, don’t we.
Just brown and drain the ground beef and add it to a large skillet where your favorite brand of store bought spaghetti sauce is already heating up. Cook the spaghetti noodles and drain.
Plate up the noodles topped with the meat sauce and then sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top! Dinner is served!
We also cook some of that yummy frozen garlic bread to go with ours.

Meat and Potato Casserole
We have been making this recipe in our family for more than 30 years. There are so many ways you can dress it up by adding other ingredients and using different soups. I have done quite a few of those but my family always requests that I stick to the basic recipe since they like it the best. Who am I to deny their request!
This meal is a Budget Stretcher because we always have leftovers the next day.

Leftover Meat and Potato Casserole from Thursday nights dinner plus a plate full of our Southern Pear and Cherry Salad.

Oh … ground beef is such an economical meat for meals. I try to incorporate at least three or four in the week, and grab it when it comes up on sale at the Giant. Swedish Meatballs are one of our favorites!
