Menu Plan #8 includes three of our favorite One Dish Dinners. We are serving premeditated leftovers, great for a busy week and a tight budget.
The key to happiness when building leftovers into your menu plan is simply to make dishes your family loves and don’t mind eating two days in a row. Not only is it a time saver for busy cooks but it’s a great way to cut back on the budget too.
We never get tired of this meal and it’s perfect for Sunday dinner when you have a heavy schedule. It’s also an easy clean up meal.
I’m going to make enough to have for Tuesday also, premeditated leftovers. This recipe for Chicken and Dumplings is too good not to have leftovers the next day!
Leftover Mostly From Scratch Chicken & Dumplings
My hubby would love it if I cooked spaghetti once a week every week. He’s going to love this week’s menu plan since he gets to enjoy one of his favorite dishes two days in a row.
Leftover Two Meat, Two Cheese Baked Spaghetti & Meatballs
Vidalia onions are in season!
Cube Steak with Creamed Vidalia Onion & Mushroom Cream Sauce served with a baked potato, steamed broccoli and rolls.
This is one of our favorite salads to make and enjoy.Strawberries are in season so it’s the perfect time to enjoy them fresh.
We’ve included a light Strawberry Watermelon Salad for our Saturday menu plan so breakfast will be this favorite French Loaf Breakfast Omelet.
I didn’t put a dessert on the menu this week because we splurged and got some vanilla ice cream from the grocery store. Woot, woot!!
