Easy Egg Cups From Plastic Easter Eggs
Make these Easy Egg Cups from Plastic Easter Eggs for the Kid’s Easter Table or for whimsical tea party decor. You only need three simple supplies and some glue.
We host Easter at our home and it’s one of my favorite family get-together’s because the children have so much fun. This year I have created a pretty and whimsical Kid’s Easter Table for the littlest one’s to enjoy. I made a couple of cute little Easter decorations to embellish the table including these sparkly egg cups made from plastic Easter Eggs.
Except for the glitter glue drying time, you could whip out a whole bunch of these in a matter of minutes.
You only need a few very simple and might I also say, cheap, supplies.
- Plastic Easter Eggs of your choice
- One large button
- One small button
- Glitter Glue
Tools
- Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks

I like using the larger half of the plastic egg but you can use either or both.
Begin by adding the big button to the bottom of the egg cup. My buttons came from Dollar Tree and were left over from this Spring Craft I made using buttons.
Dab a little hot glue into the center of the large button and press it onto the bottom of the egg half. Hold for a few seconds to allow the glue to set up.
Next, dab a small amount of hot glue onto the upper side of the cup for the button handle.
Be sure to turn the button holes in the correct direction before adding. Hold the button onto the glue for a few seconds until it’s dry enough to let go. Hot glue dries very quickly.
Break out the Glitter Glue! It’s so fun to use. It takes a few seconds, not even minutes, just a few seconds!
Squeeze a little glitter glue around the Tea Cup handle to hide the hot glue. Then squeeze out some glitter glue around the top edge of the egg cup. You can be heavy handed and add a little more glitter glue around that top edge.
I love the way they turned out. It looks like a fairy tale tea party set and I know little girls would love playing with these. I am using them for my Kids Easter Table this year but they will find a home with my sweet little great niece. I hope she has hours of fun hosting pretend tea parties.
