Tips for working faster. (work smarter not harder)

  • Complete all tasks on the list in one room at a time.
  • Carry a large trash bag with you from room to room. Leave it sitting just outside of the room door you are working in. No more walking back and forth!
  • Carry your cleaning products, supplies and equipment with you. Use a tray or bucket with a handle for cleaning products. Leave the broom, dust pan and vacuum sitting right outside of the room door.

Cleaning Supplies & Equipment Needed for Spring Cleaning

I recommend waiting until the pollen season is over before beginning your Spring cleaning. Pollen gets tracked into the house when you don’t realize it. If you are going to be vacuuming furniture, you will definitely want to wait.

Spring cleaning is a LOT of work, enlist assistance! You do not have to do it all in one day! Give everyone in your home a job to do. (Good luck with that!)

  5. Thank you for such a detailed cleaning list! I haven’t tackled mine yet, but it’s getting to the point where if I don’t do it soon, I’ll probably miss my window because Summer gets so busy around here. I always dread cleaning, but once I get immersed into it, I actually enjoy it 🙂

    1. Oddly, I have always enjoyed cleaning other people’s homes more than my own. You are right, there is a brief window of time to get spring cleaning done before those hot summer days will be in full swing! Glad you like the list, that is a big compliment coming from a professional organizer and list maker such as yourself!

  6. That is a wonderful check list! I always love your printables. I have got to learn how to offer them. We have allergies and I never thought to wait and vacuum the couch until it was done. Mine needs it bad now, So I think I will go ahead and do it, then do it again after the pollen weather it needs it or not! Maybe that will help.

    1. I vacuumed our sofa yesterday because we have been leaving the windows open some during the wonderful weather. I can see the pollen on the cars now though, so we need to keep the windows closed until that is over. Shampooing the carpet and vac’ing the upholstered furniture needs to occur after the pollen settles down.

We enjoying hearing from you!
