Oven Baked Bacon Recipe

Baked bacon comes out nice and crispy and you can cook a large quantity at one time. There is less mess than frying bacon on the stove top.

Equipment

  • 1 large baking sheet pan
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Bacon

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°. Line your large baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Place the bacon slices side by side on top of the parchment paper.
  • Set the pan of bacon into the preheated oven on the middle rack. Set your timer for about 18 minutes for thick sliced bacon. Set the timer for 12 minutes for thin sliced bacon.
Cooking times will vary if you want your bacon more crispy or less crispy. So I recommend you start checking on the bacon at about the 10 minute mark. Remove it from the oven when it is as crispy as you prefer.
  • Once your bacon is done to your desired crispiness, remove from the oven. Using tongs, place each slice of bacon onto a paper towel lined plate or platter to absorb the excess grease. You could also use a paper towel to dab the tops of each slice of bacon to remove excess grease.
    Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust your baking time for using thick or thin (regular) slices of bacon. Thick will take a little bit longer. Keep an eye on the bacon after about the first 10 minutes as some oven cook faster than others.
