Welcome to the 2018 Craft Room Makeover Challenge!
Our craft room takes a beating during the holiday season. The busy season for bloggers begins after Labor Day and doesn’t slow down until after Christmas. The craft room becomes a royal mess when it is all over. Let the Craft Room Makeover begin!
From January 3rd through January 31st, 12 Plus crafty bloggers will be sorting, organizing, cleaning, and decorating their craft spaces. Each of us has a very different craft space to tackle, so chances are you will find one similar to yours.
This is the Before picture of my main work space and the focus of my attention for the craft room makeover. Yes, I know it is a disaster right now! That is why I have joined this craft room makeover challenge!”>Let me share a little background on my craft room. We have been in our new home for only about five months as this craft room makeover begins. I’m excited for the possibilities as I never even finished unpacking the craft room as evidenced by the big boxes under and beside my work table.
I am focusing on my work table area only for the purpose of the makeover but will show you the entire room for the reveal. The other walls have storage cabinets and furniture. Even though it may not seem like it right now, I do not like too much things sitting out. That is why I like to utilize cabinets and storage with doors and drawers.

A pretty place to work
Use that bare wall for organization and aesthetics
During the Christmas season, my work table became a wrapping station so many things kept getting piled up and pushed to the side. Isn’t it funny that the trash can has been emptied while there is a raging mess overhead!
Do you see my Two Tier Spinning Craft Storage Tray? I made that for the monthly Thrift Upcycle Challenge and have loved using it in my work space. It’s great storage for often used tools.
We’d love for you to join in on the fun challenge and get organized right alongside us! We will be sharing updates with new ideas and progress every Wednesday morning around 10 am throughout January with the BIG REVEAL of our finished spaces on January 31.
Follow along and join in on social media by using #craftroomchallenge and #confessyourmess. You can also find us and the challenge via our social media accounts you’ll see listed on each of our sites. We will be sharing 15-minute mini daily challenges for you in case you have limited time to dedicate to the challenge. We hope you share your messy spaces and progress with us so we don’t feel alone this month!
