#Spoonfulsofgoodness
We are getting our new year started off right with a healthier breakfast choice and making brown bag breakfast jars to ensure success!
Our morning routine probably looks very similar to yours in the respect of how busy the mornings are. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and often the one which is skipped due to a shortage of time! We have created a winning breakfast with our brown bag breakfast jars! Who doesn’t enjoy eating food from a Mason jar? It’s a fun way to start the day.
Have you tried Post® Better Oats™ yet? You can find them on the breakfast aisle with a variety of flavors. They are steel cut with flax. My favorite is the Raw Bare with oats, barley, wheat, quinoa and rye and yes, they are scrumptious. A scrumptious breakfast is a great way to start the day.
My New Year breakfast hack has set us up for a healthier start to every day. Did I mention how busy our mornings are? It’s always a mad dash just to get out the door. Is it like that at your house too? We are making our Brown Bag Breakfast Jars on Sunday afternoon, enough for the entire week. All we have to do is place one in our lunch bag and look forward to getting to the office.
Each 1/2 pint jar contains one package of Post® Better Oats™ in our favorite flavor. Our favorite oatmeal toppings are pecans and raisins. Making a healthy breakfast doesn’t get much easier!
The hot water comes from the office coffee maker. Just add 2/3 cup water and turn on the individual cup setting. Mason jars are made to sustain heat as they are used for canning foods. The jar will be hot so use caution and look forward to your warm hearty breakfast!
My hubby sometimes cooks his at home before the drive to work. He adds 2/3 cup of milk and cooks it in the microwave for 2 minutes. Then stir and replace the lid and ring. It’s ready to eat when he gets to work.
Ours is always a working breakfast but now with our Mason Jar Oatmeal, it’s a healthier breakfast!
Skip the drive through. Make your favorite flavors of Mason Jar Oatmeal!

This is my favourite kind of breakfast and one that can be prepared earlier. Mason jars have certainly make a useful return to the cupboard. Yum!

This is a fantastic idea! I’ve seen lots of things in Mason Jars, but never a breakfast oatmeal such a this one! I’ll bet the creator of Mason Jars never dreamed he/she had made something so versatile!

I am so guilty of not eating a complete breakfast. I work from home and just sort of gloss over this most important meal. This looks like something easy and fun and I’d try it for sure.

I got really into overnight oats because they’re super easy to prep ahead of time. I love this idea too for hot oatmeal.

This looks exactly what I need in the morning. I’m so busy feeding my kids that I eat nothing because I’m on the run!

I just love oatmeal and all of the goodies that you’ve gathered to put into it. The jars are a terrific idea for breakfast on the go too! Pinning!!

These would be perfect for my kids in the morning. I’m not a morning person and the fact that I can make them ahead of time and just add hot water and toppings in the morning is perfect!

I love oatmeal and so many times I do not make it because I do not have the time to get it all together! This solves that plus it looks so great! I will surely do this for next week! Breakfast makes me have so much more energy for the day!

This is such a great idea! I love the idea of overnight oats but have not found a recipe that my family likes. This looks like the same concept but the oats will not get all mushy. Great recipe!

I wish I was that organized to plan breakfasts ahead. For me, I usually skip or just grab a bowl of cereal. Mmmm….Golden Grahams…

I work from home and often skip breakfast because I “don’t have time.” This looks like it only takes a few minutes and is a great way to have breakfast ready for the entire week. There’s nothing like a hot breakfast during the cold winter months.
