How To Make Charlie Brown Cookies
Our Charlie Brown Cookies are perfect for any Charlie Brown theme party and super easy to decorate.
I cook from scratch all the time but occasionally like any good hostess, I whip out a shortcut or two as with these super easy Charlie Brown cookies.
Nothing is from scratch and the entire process is complete in minutes!
Supplies
- 1 package Sugar Cookies
- 1 container or ready made Buttercream Frosting
- Chocolate squeezable Decorator Icing
- 2 Drops Yellow Food Coloring
You can still be a fabulous hostess without spending days and hours in the kitchen baking over a hot stove! Our shortcut with these cute Charlie Brown cookies is store-bought sugar cookies! Ok, well that isn’t our only shortcut.
How To Make Charlie Brown Cookies
Step 1
First, line a large baking pan with paper toweling or parchment paper for easy clean-up.
You can really use any long pan from the kitchen but we’re using a cookie sheet just because we’re decorating cookies. If someone comes in, they will think I baked the cookies too-wink!
Step 2
Scoop the icing into a small bowl and stir in 2 drops of yellow food coloring until well blended. You know Charlie Brown is always wearing his yellow shirt with a dark chevron stripe. He was sporting that chevron stripe long before it was massively popular!
Step 3
After tinting the icing, Ice the cookies.
Refrigerate the iced cookies for about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Now use your store-bought chocolate icing to pipe on that chevron stripe and refrigerate again until the chocolate is solid.
Serve and enjoy! It doesn’t get much easier than that!
We served our Charlie Brown cookies at our Peanuts® Great Pumpkin Halloween party! The cupcakes we served are Orange Funfetti Icing with candy corn decor. Easy and fun.
