Gold and Green Glass & Natural Thanksgiving Tablescape

Our Thanksgiving Tablescape this year is comprised of green and gold along with natural and glass elements. Popping corn plays a big role as well as pine cones from the yard!

My daughter visited while I was creating this year’s Thanksgiving Tablescape and fell in love. She pointed out to me however that my blog tagline is ‘Frugal living’ and questioned how frugal this design is. It is quite frugal, really and I’ll explain how much so as I share the elements of the design.

Our beautiful dried leaf pumpkins are new this year and super duper affordable. Our Joann’s remodeled and had a big sale which allowed the use of coupons! Yay, right! Having recently moved to the area, we received some welcome coupons with huge values, like 60% off sale or regular priced items. I got six of those beautiful dried leaf pumpkins for the price of one! I call that frugal.

The gold placemats are new this year from Dollar General. There are a steal at only $2 each! Our pretty pumpkin dessert dishes are also new from the thrift store at only .99 each. I wish they had six but couldn’t leave those four there! With six seats at the dinner table, I simply made each end different by using a black placemat and a leaf dish from our fall decor collection.

Our centerpiece this year is an upcycle project using a blue speckled roasting pan filled with pine cones and a candelabra. I randomly painted the tips of the pine cones with gold avrylic paint to create a little shimmer. This centerpiece will work throughout the holiday season. I can add some red berries for the Christmas season.

Each end of the table is balanced with glass votive’s and vases filled with popping corn and dried peas and beans. A couple mini pumpkins from our Fall Front Porch add a nice natural touch. The vases were crafted for my Ode To Pinterest Fall Mantle last year and carefully stored away for the table this year. Popping corn makes a nice frugal vase filler.

Burlap from my sewing stash cut to fit created a nice rustic natural table runner. Crystal glasses from the cabinet and cloth napkins from the China cabinet complete the look. My out of pocket expense was under $20 and all of those items will be stored for use again and again for years to come. Once my daughter knew the total, she was satisfied I was still being true to my tagline and that makes us both happy.
