Our Blue and Orange Football Party Tablescape is designed in Auburn colors! Fall Decor simply must include some football spirit at our house!
A big part of Fall for my family is football season! We love it, from Friday night lights to professional football, we watch it all. If you have never experienced the pre-game festivities at a high school football game you don’t know what you are missing. Get there at least an hour early because the bands practice and so do the players. They put on a show!
My grandson recently turned 19. All of my grandchildren are Auburn fans. In fact the two oldest teens made the five hour drive to attend a game already this season. So it was a lot of fun for me to create a birthday party using Auburn colors for the oldest.

As the children and grandchildren grow older, their interest change especially when they are teenagers. It can become increasingly difficult to come up with a party theme that fits their interest and they won’t consider too silly. This college team spirit football party for a grandson turning 19 was perfect!
Blue and Orange are common team colors for high schools, colleges and even professional teams. You can extrapolate these ideas to fit your own team spirit. We can set this party up for SEC Saturday at my house all during the season because it is such an easy party to replicate!
Because this birthday party was in late August, the dollar store had a good supply of Halloween things which is where I found those orange place mats!
I plan to change all of the colors to red and black and repeat the process again! Yes, red and black for Georgia Bulldogs! We live in Georgia but our grandchildren are all Auburn fans! You should be here for the Georgia-Auburn game!
We love making clean up easy by using disposable plates, cups and napkins for our family birthday dinners. That is why I made it easy on myself by picking up the plates, napkins and cups at the dollar store. I used my white dinner plates as Chargers.
My dining table has a lace tablecloth in between seasons. I left it there and set this football party tablescape up on top of it for some layering.
Create the Centerpiece
I love the centerpiece which was super easy to set up! First I lined some blue and orange crepe paper strips down the center of the table. Next I created a little pizzazz by adding blue filler to the football food holders. Those are perfect for popcorn or chips but this time they are holding footballs! Next I tucked a football into the holder.
Then I wrapped a bright green boa from the dollar store around the footballs to mimic the cheerleader pom poms. Last I used a few small tension footballs to finish the look on the centerpiece. Those little tension footballs come in handy while watching the game!
We all very much enjoyed this Auburn Team Spirit Birthday party. We got our football season started off right.
