Our Fall Home Tour
A huge thank you to At Home Stores for sponsoring our #MyReason Fall Home Tour
Come on in and look around Our Fall Home Tour 2016. I hope you find some ideas you can put to use in your own home.
Fall has always been my favorite season. I enjoy decorating for fall just as much as decorating for Christmas! My style for fall is affordable with lots of autumn colors to make the indoors feel cozy.
Hoblee would like to welcome you into our home for our 2016 Fall Home Tour. He likes to cozy up on my afghans.
Our little scarecrow family creates the warmest welcome by the coffee pot!
In our home, anyone is welcome to Sit-n-Sip. I’m a big fan of coffee and conversation. My hubby and I love our new stoneware mugs I found in the kitchen section of the At Home Store too.
We have dinner at our kitchen table almost every day with few exceptions. A simple and functional table setting is all we need to have that fall feel. I picked up two sets of those orange burlap pumpkins. There’s three per pack so keep your eye out for where we used the last two.
I found our simple fall centerpiece in the floral department. It’s adorable in a small wooden drawer with a metal handle but I added a couple of scarecrow picks since I seem to have a thing for scarecrows this year. Scarecrows in the fall are like snowmen at Christmas aren’t they!
Visit Our Fall Mantle An Ode To Pinterest post for my lighthearted look at how I decorated the mantle this year.
The fireplace is in the den which is where we like to spend our Saturday mornings sometimes in the cooler months. Last year I made pillow covers with repurposed plaid shirts, you can find that post here.
My new ‘Give Thanks’ Scarecrow was in the Harvest section of my At Home store. Doesn’t she look happy and cute too with those pig tails! You can find my easy tutorial for the Scarecrow Candy Corn Centerpiece sitting on the end table here.
Let’s walk back through the kitchen into the dining room before we make our last stop in the Living room.
On the way through the kitchen, I’ve done minimal decorating of the bar with a two tiered plate stand styled with one pumpkin and pine cones.
The dining room tablescape is bit more detailed than the kitchen for our fall decor. Take a look at all the details of our Farmhouse Style Fall Tablescape in the dining room here.
Now, let’s head in to the living room for the last leg of our fall home tour.
The white wood gazebo lantern was on my hearth for my Simple Summer Mantle. How much do you love that gorgeous porcelain White Cutout Pumpkin!
If it’s accent pillows you need, please go to your At Home store because they have the largest selection I’ve seen. I fell in love with my new leaf pattern pillow the instant I saw it and it was so affordable!
My antique kerosene jar was an antique shopping trip find which I styled with popcorn and white zinnia. The white pumpkin is crafted from a sweater. Both are contained in a large metal tray with lots of patina. The afghan resting on the stool under the tray was a wedding gift in 1997 which I’ve managed somehow to take care of all these years.
We live very rural, ‘out in the country’ and our home is off the road so I generally hang my wreaths inside for us to enjoy. You can see how I repurposed some fall decor to make my Cornucopia Wreath on the door here.
Thanks for stopping by, so glad to have you in my home. Please be sure to stop by the other eight homes sharing their #MyReason Fall Home Tours with us this autumn.

So cozy and cute! The sit n sip sign is my favorite. I’ll be featuring this tomorrow at #MerryMonday
I love your fall decorations. My favorite is the white 2-tier tray. Thanks for sharing on Sunday’s Best.
All those little scarecrows are so cute! I love your tablescape and often wish we had a formal dining room so that I could decorate it.
Shirley, your home looks wonderful for fall. It is warm and inviting and it looks like a perfect spot to “sit and sip.” I love all the attention you’ve given to the details to blend it all together beautifully. Pinned. Thanks for sharing with us at Snickerdoodle!
All of your fall decorations are beautiful! They give your home such a cozy and welcoming feel. Love your giant dough bowl full of pumpkins!
Love how warm and inviting your home looks all decked out for Fall!! Beautiful!
Your fall home tour is so pretty, Shirley! I especially love those mini pumpkin plates…adorable!!
So beautiful. I’m in love with those patterned wood pumpkins! Since I don’t live near an At Home store, I may have to make my own.
Your space is so bright and cheery! I love fall decor since I like to add color to my space with orange and yellow – fall hues! I also like using burlap whenever I can. I like that table centerpiece and all the pumpkins. Decorating for the seasons makes my home happier!
Wow! I love how festive everything is and I love how cozy your home feels. I can feel the coziness through the screen. The centerpieces you chose look so lovely. I’d love to decorate my place like this.
How very cozy! Love how you kept everything coordinating without being too match match! My favorite has to be the white pumpkin and white throw on the leather ottoman – so chic! That two tier plate looks perfect for the kitchen or even on a console table with some candles. Have to head over to Home Store and check it out!
I LOVE the lantern and pumpkin on your end table. They are so pretty and unusual. Fall is my favorite time of the year, but I don’t usually decorate for it, aside from Halloween. I think this year I’m going to do put up a bunch of fall decorations. We just moved into a new house and I think it needs some sprucing up!
Your tablescape is amazing! I love that centerpiece decoration!
Fall is my favorite season to decorate for, hands down. I don’t know why, but I just love the colors and the cozy feeling it all brings. Would you believe it that I’ve not even brought out my fall stuff yet? I am so behind! Thank you for the motivation and inspiration! Your home is beautiful!
Your dining tablescape is so lovely. Everything in your tour looks so festive and brings out all the comfort that we associate with the fall season. I also love the painted mason jars on your mantel. Thanks for sharing!
Shirley, your home is beautiful. I love all your antiques and fun treasures. I love the pillow from At Home. It really says, Fall. And that lantern, so fun to use it for different seasons.
I would sit and sip anytime. Your home looks lovely. I’m just crushing on all the pillows and the ones you made from flannels are my favorite . Your home looks so inviting. Thanks for sharing
I love the combinations of plates that you chose, so pretty and colorful — perfect for fall!
I love all the scarecrows – especially that cute one with the pigtails 🙂 And that lantern! I wish I would have seen that lantern at my At Home store! LOL
Your home is so cozy and warm! I love all the scarecrow accents and your mantle is lovely. The orange burlap pumpkins on your table setting are so so cute!
I normally don’t like autumn and Halloween decorations, but the way you have done it makes me want to start! I love the tastefulness! The colours are beautiful!
Wow! It’s so festive! Very warm and cozy for the holidays!
I”m enjoying see all the beautiful and different decor styles showcased in our fall home tour. You’re right – At Home has the largest selection of accent pillows I’ve never seen. There’s something for every decor style. I love your fall dining room tablescape and the kitchen table is perfect for a cozy breakfast or dinner. May I come over for a cup of coffee? 🙂
