Lumberjack Feud Dinner Show at Pigeon Forge Tennessee Review
There are so many dinner shows to choose from in Pigeon Forge. Let me share my Lumberjack Feud Dinner Show Review with you. You won’t want to miss it!
The Lumberjack Feud Dinner Show at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee provided me with complimentary tickets to attend the show but the opinions contained here are my own.
Let’s begin at the beginning which is the pre-show with the Mountain Jacks Bluegrass Band. I can sum it up in 3 words, they are awesome!
You will need to arrive a little early to catch the pre-show but trust me, it’s worth it. This You Tube video shares how they all got together with just a hint of some of their music. Even if you are not a blue grass fan, you are sure to appreciate good music when you hear it.
On to the show!
The Lumberjack Feud boasts the largest indoor lumberjack sporting event arena in the country. Performing all 16 axe swinging, log rolling and chainsaw roaring events are real ESPN Lumberjacks. One of the best parts of the show is also the Timber Dogs who are world champions! Those dogs jump really high and run so fast, you will want a rewind which is fine because they will do it one more time for you. All performances are in fact a competition. You will be cheering on your ‘family’ of either the Dawson’s or the McGraw’s during the entire event. You can be a winner too. There are lots of lumber ‘cookies’ given to audience members who cheer the loudest!
The arena is all decorated up for Christmas during the Pigeon Forge Smokey Mountain Christmas celebration. I snapped this photo of the stage with the tall snowy Pines and lots of bright Christmas lights. Their Christmas décor is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit! Don’t forget to drive by at night and see their beautiful Christmas lights display on their front lawn by the Parkway.
Once the competition begins, you will be entertained by the Lumberjacks, Timberdogs and Lumbejills through non-stop fun. My favorite part was the Log Roll but the Speed Climb comes in a close second for me!
The Lumberjill’s get involved in the competition too! They can handle those chain saws quite well! It’s a race to see who can cut their lumber cookie first! During our visit the Dawson’s won!
During the Smoky Mountain Christmas going on now through Jan. 4th they will be serving a traditional holiday meal which includes;
- Oven Roasted Turkey
- Baked Ham
- Homestyle Stuffing
- Fluffy Mashed Potatoes and gravy
- Buttered Tri-Colored Corn
- Sweet Potato Casserole
- Fresh Dinner Rolls
- Hot Apple Cobbler
The camp style meal is served in a 1930’2 style  warm bear proof mess kit which keeps your food nice and hot. I took this snap shot right before I enjoyed all I could eat! It’s a lot of food all of which was tasty and filling! Sorry, the sweet potato casserole is coved up with the meat but trust me, it was good!
There are generally 2 shows each evening. Check their calendar here for show times. You can buy tickets for the dinner and show or just the show. Folks viewing the show only are welcome to purchase snacks at the snack bar to enjoy during the show.
We read a nice review of the Lumberjack Feud in the guest book in our cabin. A previous guest to the cabin attended the show and very much enjoyed it. We very much enjoyed both the show and the dinner! I would definitely recommend that you plan to visit the Lumberjack Feud Dinner Show while in Pigeon Forge.

I would have loved to see this show. When I lived in Atlanta, there were a lot of advertisements to see and visit the Pigeon Forge area. Now you know I had my eye on the meal. The rolls looked really good. I probably would have had far too many of them.
This looks like a fun outing that the entire family could enjoy.
This looks like a great show! We hope to go visit there next year. We may have to check this one out. I love bluegrass music! That’s what our church does. And my husband and son would be really interested in the Lumber Jack stuff.
I hope you get to go when y’all travel to the area. The Lumberjacks are all decorated competitors who still compete, especially in the Alaska area. It was really a lot of fun.
How neat! We haven’t seen this show in Pigeon Forge, but we’ve seen several other dinner shows there! It’s a great area to enjoy!
We love going to Pigeon Forge. This was our first time going to the Lumberjack Show. It really was a lot of fun and the food was great!
I always wanted to go to Pigeon Forge and thanks to your review it makes me want to go even more. How fun!
I sure hope to get to go Louida. There is so much to do there. Take your wallet so you can empty it out at the Five Oaks Tanger. That’s where we spend most of our time!
Wow, this looks like something that has to be seen to be believed!
It is a lot of fun Nick. If you make it to the Pigeon Forge area, be sure to check it out.
We usually visit Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg once a year for a minister’s conference. We always love it, but this is the first time I’ve heard about the lumberjack feud dinner show. Looks like so much fun! And it’s refreshing to see that the holiday meal is different from most of the standard dinner shows.
Can you believe we spent 7 days at Pigeon Forge and did not even drive over to Gatlinburg! I hope you get to visit the Lumberjack show the next time you are there. The food was great and I agree that the holiday meal was a nice change from the regular dinner show meals.
