Macon. “Jimi All By My Side” DGD Movie Series. 7 pm.  Douglas Theater 355 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.  A drama based on Jimi Hendrix’s life as he left New York City for London, where his career took off.

Macon. Christmas Made in the South.10-8pm Macon Centreplex. Amazing craftspeople, outstanding art, unique gourmet food, and diverse entertainment to whet and satisfy every demanding appetite. Handmade, one-of-a-kind designs populate the booths that fill the festival: silk wearables to fabric bags, dichroic glass jewelry to close-up photography of nature’s funniest and fiercest creatures all await and more!

Milledgeville. Bike-in Movie.  7pm showing of The Muppet Movie in the CVB parking lot. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to be comfy & cozy during the movie.

Macon. Food Truck Fest at Martha Bowman UMC. 500 Bass Rd. 4-7 pm. Featuring several awesome food trucks, a couple of live bands, and inflatables for the kids!  We are super excited about supporting Macon Outreach as part of Food Truck Fest @ MB! When you come to the event, please bring a few cans of food to help stock the food pantry for this amazing ministry.

Macon. Kids Day at The Big House. The Big House Allman Brothers Band Museum.  2321 Vineville Ave. Noon- 4pm Free. Games, crafts, music and a fire truck will all be on hand for the children to play and take part in some fun.  Bring your children.  The stage is open for performances by the children and the fire truck will be here for the kids to climb on and explore.

Milledgeville. Voices of the Beloved Community Concert. 6:30 pm. 321 Log Cabin Rd. NE. This year’s concert will feature performances by Vaughn Chapel, The Milledgeville Singers Guild, Northridge, Union Baptist, Sensational Steps dancers, and the Voices of the Beloved Community joint choir representing Green Pastures, Flagg Chapel, Powell Grove (Sparta), and more.

Macon. Make-End Maker Festival. Tattnall Square Park. Central GA’s debut festival celebrating makers (people who create new art, crafts and technology works), featuring innovative exhibitors, entrepreneurial speakers plus large-scale attractions. Learn more here.

Macon. Wesleyan Market. 9am-1pm. Wesleyan College front campus on Forsyth St. This fun community event features a variety of of locally grown and produced items ranging from flowers and organic fruits and vegetables to baked goods, art, and crafts.

Milledgeville. Daydream Music & Arts Festival. Gates open 12:30 pm. Oconee River Greenway East Green St. Kids zone, cornhole tourny, vinyasa flow yoga, drum circle, community raffle, artist market and live paintings. The core of this event is to benefit local non-profits. We are benefitting the Chard Wray Food Pantry, Animal Rescue Foundation, Oconee River Greenway Foundation and Omega Delta Sigma.

Twiggs County. Battle of Griswoldville. This event will take place at Griswoldville Battlefield 30 miles east of Jarrell Plantation. Learn about the hastily planned attempt by Georgia militia to halt Union General Sherman’s March to the Sea in November 1864. Civil War soldier life portrayals and Union and Confederate encampments followed with a noon memorial service and battlefield tour. Directions

Motown Christmas at The Grand Opera House. 7:30 pm. The Motown Experience, is a world-class vocal group assembled from past and present members of three of Motown’s most legendary groups: The Temptations, The Miracles and The Capitols. A Motown Christmas is a powerful show combining Motown’s greatest hits and everyone’s favorite holiday classics. The show features the trademark dazzling choreography, and unforgettable harmonies all performed in that memorable, soulful Motown style.
