Ingredients
Our fun Easter treat only uses a few simple ingredients you can find at the grocery store. See my list of options available on Amazon if you can’t find them in your grocery store.
- Vanilla pudding cups or the flavor of your choice
- 1 or 2 drops of green food coloring
- Egg-shaped candies (see the list of options)
- 1 cup of shredded coconut flakes (see list of substitutes)
- Rope candy like Laughy Taffy (see list of options)
- 1 Tbsp. water
Step 1
Prepare your workspace with a large piece of parchment paper for easy clean-up. I use these disposable counter covers in my kitchen.
The first thing we want to do is tint the coconut to look like grass for our fun treats.
In a small bowl, add the coconut flakes, water, and a couple of drops of green food coloring. Stir until the coconut is completely tinted. You can add more food coloring and keep stirring until your ‘grass’ is the shade of green you desire.

Step 2
Remove the lid from each of the vanilla pudding cups and create an assembly line to make your edible Easter baskets.
Begin decorating your mini Easter desserts by sprinkling edible grass onto the top of each pudding cup.
Step 3
Next, place the candy eggs on top of the grass. About three or four candy eggs should fit comfortably.
You can use wrapped candy if you like.
Step 4
Finally, using clean kitchen scissors, cut the rope candy to your desired size for the handles. Insert each end into the pudding and you are done.
