Decorating With Canvas Prints
Decorating with canvas prints was something I had considered. My daughter has a beautiful canvas print in her guest bath which I love. It just so happens she is the same daughter who snapped the photo I had mounted on canvas for my entryway!
We have been in our new home less than a year now and are still working on decorating our walls. The entryway is a target area for my attention at the moment and I finally found a nice solution for the wall behind the door.
It is a small space and I had the perfect table for a couple of decor pieces but it needed art on the wall. I was excited when Canvas On The Cheap contacted me to work with them! Problem solved with this beautiful canvas print of our daughter’s photography. The stemmed vase on the bottom of the tiered table was a gift from a friend many years ago and is Depression era. I love it and was really happy to find a place to leave it out in our new home. I love the juxtaposition of the Depression era glass and the old wooden church pews in the canvas print.

My youngest daughter snapped this photo when she was in college a few years ago. The location is a very old church camp not far from where we lived at the time in rural Georgia. The old church camp is mostly deserted except for a couple weeks each summer. It is an open camp meeting type building with open sides and a painted brick wall behind the pulpit. The pews are solid wood straight back and no doubt terribly uncomfortable by today’s standards. The photo evokes a lifetime of memories built week by week. It takes me back to brush arbors and camp meeting days and I love those memories because they are full of smiles, laughter and friends.

Art is one of the most subjective concepts in the world, and most of us defer to what “the experts” say is valuable. But true art is something that reflects your own life and the things you love. What brightens your day when your eyes fall upon it? What makes you smile or remember things you’ve loved, lost or cared about in your life?
Most often, these are very personal things that only you can identify. So, think outside the box and decide: what is art to you, on a personal level?
Do you still have that well-worn handwritten recipe for grandma’s homemade biscuits or Aunt Lily’s apple cake? Turn it into a print on canvas, frame it, and hang it in your kitchen. How about your child’s first finger-paintings (even if they were on your living room wall)? Snap a high-resolution photograph of them and make custom canvas prints.
Remember when you had the idea for your first business and made frantic sketches on a restaurant napkin as creative ideas spilled from your brain? Yep, even that can become a print on canvas. Canvas on the Cheap, will print to canvas using the artist-preferred giclee process with a semi-gloss finish. That means you get professional-level canvas prints cheap while telling the priceless stories of your life.
Life is Art! Capture Yours on Canvas Prints! Visit Canvas on the Cheap and upload your photos today and you will have those memories hanging on your walls in no time!
