HOW TO MAKE A RED AND WHITE POM POM MINI WREATH CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENT
SUPPLIES
- 1 Wood Curtain ring with eye hook attached (affiliate)
- DecoArt Christmas Red paint (affiliate)
- Lots of Red and White Glitter Mini Pom Poms
- DecoArt Silver Glitter Paint (affiliate)
- Mini Snowman
- Hot Glue Gun
- Hot Glue
- Ribbon of choice for hanging

PAINT THE RING
The first thing I decided to do was paint the wood ring just in case there might be a gap between the Pom poms which there was not. A pipe cleaner came in handy to hang the ornament to dry on my little mini tree I am using in my craft room for just such projects. I have plans for that little mini tree too!

ADDING THE POM POMS
Hot glue and your glue gun get them done quickly by adding the pom poms. I began by placing three large pom poms mainly to keep the number of smaller ones I wood need down.
While the curtain ring is small, those mini pom poms are small too so I worried about having purchased plenty at first. There was some leftover in the end so one bag was plenty. I found this big bag full of 150 Glitter Christmas Pom Poms from Oriental Trading. (affiliate)

THE POM POM PATTERN
The red and white colors look really pretty lined up sort of like a candy swirl so that is the pattern I decided to go with. You can tell that result is better as we progress with adding the Pom Poms which goes pretty quickly.
If you wanted to make a few of these and space them around your tree, it wouldn’t take long at all.

THE BACK SIDE OF THE MINI WREATH
As I was gluing the Pom Poms I did decide to continue the pattern to the back side so I wanted you to see how it was looking back there during the process. Only a few left to go.

ONE MORE TOUCH
Once I was finished I felt like this cute little ornament could use one more thing. I decided to add a mini-snowman and give him some glisten using DecoArt Glitter Paint.
First I gave the mini snowman a coat of glitter paint so he would glisten in the lights of the Christmas tree. Then, I simply glued the little snowman into the center of the mini wreath.

The mini snowman came in a package with some of his winter friends at Hobby Lobby. He is very small and while his colors are pretty the addition of the silver glitter paint will make it sparkle in the lights on the Christmas tree. He fit perfectly into the center of the Mini Red and White Pom Pom Wreath Ornament.
