If you are hosting Thanksgiving for a crowd or even for a few, you will want to be well organized and make the day a success for everyone to enjoy.
My Mom used to host Thanksgiving with the philosophy ‘The more, the merrier.’ She would invite family from out of town and create the most festive atmosphere. I know now how much work she put into and how much she loved to do it for her family.
Also See our Complete Thanksgiving Menu including Recipes with Ingredients Grocery List for each.
Now that Mom has gone on to live with the Lord, we try to keep her traditions going with big dinners and lots of food and conversation on Thanksgiving. Everyone chips in and brings their most requested dishes. We have way too much food but we plan in advance for leftovers by having everyone bring their own to-go containers.
Our Checklist begins with things you should be doing to prepare as far out as 3 weeks and right up until the day before. It’s super handy to help you not forget something important like buying ice if needed.
The blank menu will help you to plan the big meal including appetizers since sometimes Thanksgiving dinner may occur later in the day. I have heard of people eating at noon on Thanksgiving but that doesn’t happen in our family.
Print size is 8 1/2 x 11 on all six.
I have also heard of folks who are super organized so we are providing a Timeline for the big day! This will be helpful in my kitchen for those who are helping to prepare the meal to stay on track.
The Shopping List printable is broken down into categories similar to the layout of the grocery store to make shopping easier.
The Housework printable is also helpful to stay on track and provide info to those who may be helping you prepare. Who else loves to check off a completed list? I sure do!
A Guest List is essential to keep up not only with how many are coming but what they may be bringing and how many children to expect. You can also jot down any dietary needs you’d like to remember about Aunt Ethel.
Print one or print them all as many times as you like. This set of 6 Thanksgiving Planner Guides Sheets is our gift to you.

Thanks! I bet this could probably work for the rest of the year.

If I analyze it well enough, it would have been messier if I made an organizer to be honest. Great Job Shirley!

Good morning Shirley. I am still exploring all of this wonderful information you have provided. Thanks so much. I do a lot of notebooks with sheet protectors. I love having my recipes in the sheet protectors because they don’t get soiled while you are cooking. If you do splash something on them, or touch them with a wet hand, you simply wipe off the plastic. Love it. Thanks again for all of your sharing.

I’m a big fan of sheet protectors. I have quite a few notebooks with the wonderful recipes I have found online, many need some organization but that will be fun when I get to it!
