As promised, I am sharing more pictures from the Secret Garden Stroll my husband and I recently enjoyed in Macon, Ga. If you missed the first part, no problem it is immortalized here on the blog.
About the Stroll
This Secret Garden Spring Stroll was sponsored by The Hay House in Macon, Ga. The Hay House is an antebellum mansion now owned by Georgia Trust. It is available for tours and private events. You can read more about The Hay House here.
There were 5 homes participating in the Secret Garden Stroll. All were in close proximity so that most were within walking distance of one another. All 5 homes are located in an older well established area of Macon, Ga. with lots of beautiful trees and blooming landscapes.
Please enjoy the pictorial tour with me!
A natural arbor grows on this little wooden gate. The secret garden lies just beyond the gate.
This marvelous old log cabin greeted us as we entered the gate. If walls could talk!
We made our way around to the shady back porch of the cabin which is graced with red geraniums.
Oh the tales we could tell as we sip iced tea under the shade tree with a nice breeze blowing! This eclectic outdoor room is just outside the front porch of the log cabin guest house. Notice the wonderful chandelier hanging above the bright red geraniums!
This next home on the Secret Garden Tour get’s my Best Use of Space Award! Their property is nestled in a hillside. The slope on the property has not stopped them from using every little nook and cranny!
This view is from the side yard after passing through the back yard. The pathway is carpeted with lush green grass dividing plenteous amounts of both vegetable gardens and perennials. As you continue along this pathway you will encounter the vegetable gardens. To see those photos, please go to our Facebook page here.
Don’t you just want to sneak over there onto the pine straw and lie down next to this wonderful waterfall? There is a guardian angel who will keep watch over you! This waterfall is just very near a vegetable garden recently planted. You can view those photos on our Facebook page here.
What was your favorite feature from the Secret Garden Tour?
My favorite is that Outdoor Room with the rustic old table topped with a gorgeous red geranium and that marvelous chandelier hanging from the shade tree limb!
