Boo at the Zoo

If you are fortunate enough to live near a Zoo, go check out their site for participation in Boo at the Zoo! This is a family friendly event centered around Halloween. Most Zoo’s are offering fun and games, Halloween decorations, treat or treating and costume parades! Generally, Zoo admission will permit participation in all Boo at the Zoo events, check with your Zoo for more information. Tickets prices reflect general admission. Click the ticket links for discount pricing information particularly for senior citizens, children under 2 or 3 and group pricing.

Knoxville Zoo located in Knoxville Tennessee

BOO! at the Zoo will celebrate 12 nights of safe and not-too-scary Halloween fun on October 10-13, 17-20, 24-27, 2013 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
BOO! at the Zoo, a Halloween tradition for 27 years, is a family event featuring devilishly good music and games at the Monster Mash tent in The Clayton Family Kids Cove, your favorite costumed characters throughout the zoo, and the only “haunted” carousel in East Tennessee, the Scary-Go-Round. (How can you tell it’s haunted? It goes backwards, of course.) And best of all, you can trick-or-treat down the BOO! trail for your favorite treats!

Zoo Atlanta located in Atlanta, Ga.

Zoo Atlanta’s Halloween Festival returns this year with treats, sights, characters and adventures of the whimsical Zoo Boo Town on four magical days with more than 1,500 animals from around the world. Don’t forget your costume!

Activities will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m

Cell phone recycling
Support gorilla conservation by recycling your old cell phones during Boo at the Zoo, and the gorillas will thank you with an extra treat! Drop phones off at the designated treat booth near the Willie B. Gorilla Conservation Center.

The 29th annual Boo At The Zoo offers more than 25 trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly animal demonstrations and exciting family-friendly entertainment under the canopy of the beautiful fall foliage of Denver Zoo.

Enjoy the Halloween Haystack Maze, creatively constructed with haystacks and Halloween characters! Enjoy the  glowing, hand-carved pumpkins in the Pumpkin Patch! Then, continue on to the “Forest Trail at Wolf Woods Crossing” for a unique dancing light show!
Aye mates! Join their featured guest, Captain Jack Sparrow, as his swashbuckling pirate antics entertain kids and adults alike! Also go for a spooking spin around the park on the Safari Train turned Raven’s Rail (weather permitting).

NEW FOR 2013: The Candy Cave*
John P. McGovern Children’s Zoo
No tricks, just treats! The bat cave is overflowing with larger-than-life candy! Feast your eyes on peppermints, candies, and lollipops bigger than your head! This is a Halloween treat you won’t want to miss.
*Candy in the Candy Cave is not edible.
Fiesta Mart Pumpkin Patch is a place where little ghouls and goblins can pick out their very own child-sized pumpkin (while supplies last) and paint it into a Halloween jack-o-lantern!

Kids can trick or treat at animal-themed “Candy Corner” booths throughout the Zoo, so bring your trick or treat bag and your sweet tooth! (Candy available while supplies last)
