Today, Andersonville National Historic Site comprises three distinct components: the former site of Camp Sumter military prison, the Andersonville National Cemetery, and the National Prisoner of War Museum, which opened in 1998 to honor all U.S. prisoners of war in all wars.

  1. I’ve been following this lately. Good feature:-) I’m one of the new hosts on Merry Monday. Just stopping by to introduce myself.

  2. Awesome, Shirley! I live to be able to schedule regional events, as my husband and I travel quite a bit. Lately I’ve been in the mood for antebellum tours, ha! I’ll have to pass this on to my husband who insists that most of Georgia, especially Fulton County, is the black hole of the universe; he’s a Saints fan! Have a great week, my dear!

We enjoying hearing from you!
