Crescent Roll & Sausage Breakfast Casserole

Simple easy and versatile recipe for overnight breakfast casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 1 8oz. pkg. Crescent Rolls
  • 6 Large eggs
  • 8 oz. shredded sharp cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Half-n-half
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Brown and drain sausage. Let cool.
  • Prepare 9x13 glass baking dish with non-stick spray.
  • Open Crescent Rolls, unroll and lay out flat.
  • Line the bottom of the dish with the Crescent roll dough pinching together to form a crust.
  • Spread the sausage on top of the Crescent rolls.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top of sausage.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
  • To Bake
  • Preheat oven to 350° F
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and seasonings.
  • If you are adding veggies, now is the time to blend them into the egg mixture.
  • Pour egg mixture over sausage and cheese.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and reduce heat to 325°
  • Continue baking until the egg mixture is set, approximately 15 to 25 minutes or when knife inserted comes out clean.
