Classic Pumpkin Pie

The perfect blend of spices make this classic recipe a family favorite throughout the test of time.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Pumpkin puree canned is fine
  • 2 pie shells Unbaked
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 whole Nutmeg, shaved
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 Eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425º .
  • In a bowl, mix all the pie filling ingredients by hand until well blended.
  • Place your pie shells in your pie dish and pinch the edges.
  • Pour the pie filling into the pie shells. You should have enough to make two pies if you don't want them too thick. We prefer thin pies.
  • Place the pie in the oven and set timer for 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, turn the oven temperature down to 350º and continue to cook about 35 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool before cutting. Garnish with whipped cream if desired. Refrigerate leftovers if there are any leftovers!
