221 oz. cans of apple pie filling
1 1/2stickssalted butter
1box Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cake Mix
Instructions
Begin by preheating the oven to 350°. Set your iron skillet into the oven with one whole stick of butter to melt as the oven heats.
Remove the hot skillet with the melted butter from the oven. Pour both cans of apple pie filling into the melted butter. Gently stir to blend the butter with that delectable apple pie filling.
Sprinkle the cake mix on top of the apple mixture and pat down gently. Do not stir.
Melt the remaining 1/2 stick of butter in the microwave and pour it on top of the cake mix.
Bake, uncovered for about 40 to 50 minutes until the cake mix is done on top and the apple filling is bubbly hot. Carefully remove from oven.
Serve hot with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for a real treat.
