Pecan Snowdrop Cookies

Delicious, pretty and often requested cookies which are perfect for Christmas celebrations, Cookie exchange or just because!
  • 1 Cup butter
  • 11/2 Cups confectioner's sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 Cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 Cups sifted all-purpose flour
  1. Preheat oven to 325°
  2. Cream butter with mixer.
  3. Gradually add ½ cup of the confectioners sugar and the salt into the creamed butter.
  4. Continue to cream until light and fluffy.
  5. Add nuts and vanilla.
  6. Blend in flour gradually, mixing thoroughly.
  7. Shape by hand into teaspoon size balls.
  8. Place onto greased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake at 325° for about 15-20 minutes. Oven temps vary meaning cooking times will vary.
  10. Before removing from the cookies sheet, go ahead and lightly dust with confectioner's sugar.
  11. Remove from the cookie sheet and gently transfer to a wire cooling rack placed over a baking pan to cool.
  12. Once cool, gently toss into a Ziploc bag filled with remaining confectioners sugar. Coat well.
  13. Serve and enjoy!
