A delicious one pot meal with only six ingredients full of flavor.
  • 1 pkg. smoked sausage
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with chilies
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • ½ medium head cabbage
  • 2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 can (15 oz) chicken broth
  1. Chop .the cabbage into bite size pieces
  2. Chop the sausage into small pieces
  3. In a large skillet, bring the tomatoes and chicken broth to a boil
  4. Stir in Old Bay seasoning
  5. Add the cabbage to the skillet and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes
  6. Stir in the rice
  7. Add sausage
  8. Simmer with lid on until the rice is done.
  9. You do want some juices in this dish once it is done, so if you need to add more liquid, use boiling water.
