Italian Roasted Cauliflower Steaks Recipe

Ingredients
You should be able to find all of these simple ingredients at your local grocery store. Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes are commonly used herbs that are likely already in your pantry.
Kitchen Tip: You may have a few cauliflower florets remaining. Use those in a salad for lunch another day or dip them in Ranch dressing for a snack.
- 2 large heads of fresh Cauliflower, cut each into four 1″ thick slices
- 1 Tbsp Robust olive oil, like this
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Italian seasoning, like this
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional), like this
- 1/4 Cup fresh Parmesan cheese, grated (divide in half)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Step 1
Prepare a large-rimmed baking sheet, like this with parchment paper and set aside. Preheat your oven to 400°. Be sure your oven rack is in the center position.
Divide the Parmesan cheese evenly into two small bowls.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, Italian seasoning, minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes. Whisk together and set aside.
Step 3
Cut the cauliflower into 1″ thick slices and place each steak onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Brush with the seasoned olive oil mixture using a basting brush like this. Turn over with tongs and brush the other side. Season each with salt and pepper then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Step 4
Set the pan of seasoned cauliflower steaks into the oven and set your kitchen timer for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, turn the steaks over carefully and add the remaining parmesan cheese then return to the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cauliflower is fork-tender and golden brown.
Remove your roasted cauliflower steaks with cheese from the oven and serve immediately.
