Spring Cleaning Checklist Free Printable
This comprehensive Spring Cleaning Checklist Free Printable is the one we used for many years in our Residential Cleaning business. It covers cleaning the house itself, not your stuff in the house.
Spring brings sunshine and outdoor activities but not until the Spring cleaning chores have been done inside the house. That’s how Momma always made us do it.
After a what seems like a long winter indoors, we are always anxious to give our house a good spring cleaning. How about you?
Tips for working faster. (work smarter not harder)
- Complete all tasks on the list in one room at a time.
- Carry a large trash bag with you from room to room. Leave it sitting just outside of the room door you are working in. No more walking back and forth!
- Carry your cleaning products, supplies and equipment with you. Use a tray or bucket with a handle for cleaning products. Leave the broom, dust pan and vacuum sitting right outside of the room door.
Keep your well stocked cleaning tray with you as you work from room to room.
Cleaning Supplies & Equipment Needed for Spring Cleaning
- Cleaning cloths
- Ceiling duster with extension arm for cob webs
- Small household ladder
- Small bucket with handle for carrying cleaning solution water
- Feather duster
- Vacuum with attachments
- Mop bucket
- Coil brush for cleaning coils on refrigerator and freezer
- Tray for carrying cleaning supplies from room to room
Cleaning products (My bathroom favorites)

I recommend waiting until the pollen season is over before beginning your Spring cleaning. Pollen gets tracked into the house when you don’t realize it. If you are going to be vacuuming furniture, you will definitely want to wait.

Perfect tips! I never made a cleaning checklist, but I think is a much better way to organize your cleaning process. In this way you establish a plan what and how you want to clean. Thanks for the ideas:)
What great tips. I don’t particularly enjoy cleaning, but once I start I go all the way crazy cleaning 🙂
Thank you for this! I despise spring cleaning, so I need all of the tips and printable help that I can get! Thank you for sharing this at the #SmallVictoriesSundayLinkup!

Cleaning AND a free printable checklist! It doesn’t get any better than that!!! LOL
I take it you enjoy cleaning, Kristen?

I sometimes enjoy cleaning. I have to be in the mood! 🙂 But I have to say I love, love, love your free printable on spring cleaning. I’m a list person, so this is exactly what I need to get my behind in high gear!
And I love your tip about waiting until the pollen season is over to begin spring cleaning. I never thought about that, but it makes so much sense!
I’m going to print it and pin it! I’m sure others would love to have this free guideline to spring cleaning. You’re a genius!
Thanks for those kind words Alli. I’m not a genius, just have 17 years of professional cleaning experience to share 🙂
What a great cleaning list. I would not say that I enjoy cleaning, so a list is really helpful, thank you!
I wouldn’t say that I enjoy cleaning either, Anna. It wouldn’t be an honest statement. I have to be in the mood to enjoy it!
Thank you for such a detailed cleaning list! I haven’t tackled mine yet, but it’s getting to the point where if I don’t do it soon, I’ll probably miss my window because Summer gets so busy around here. I always dread cleaning, but once I get immersed into it, I actually enjoy it 🙂
Oddly, I have always enjoyed cleaning other people’s homes more than my own. You are right, there is a brief window of time to get spring cleaning done before those hot summer days will be in full swing! Glad you like the list, that is a big compliment coming from a professional organizer and list maker such as yourself!
That is a wonderful check list! I always love your printables. I have got to learn how to offer them. We have allergies and I never thought to wait and vacuum the couch until it was done. Mine needs it bad now, So I think I will go ahead and do it, then do it again after the pollen weather it needs it or not! Maybe that will help.
I vacuumed our sofa yesterday because we have been leaving the windows open some during the wonderful weather. I can see the pollen on the cars now though, so we need to keep the windows closed until that is over. Shampooing the carpet and vac’ing the upholstered furniture needs to occur after the pollen settles down.
